Turn 1: I cast Spell that requires Somatic and Concentration.
Turn 2: I duel wield and attack with melee weapons while also maintaining the spell I cast the previous turn.
Is this possible?
ie.
Turn 1: Warlock casts Hex as Bonus Action and attacks with Hand Axe. If both Hit then 1d6+4(strength)+1d6(necrotic damage from hex)
Foe Turn 1: Foe attacks I make my CON saving throw. Hex remains active.
Turn 2: Warlock duel wields 2 Hand Axes. If both hit then (Axe 1=1d6+4+1d6) + (Axe 2=1d6+4+1d6)
Do I need to keep a free hand to maintain concentration for Hex or has the Somatic component already been used to cast the spell at the start and I only require mental concentration to maintain it (but I no longer need a free hand)?
Does turning my spell casting hand into an axe holding hand require a full action or is it a free action?

I am usually online between 2-8PM EST.
You only need the components when it is cast, not for the entire duration (ie concentration).
So, yes, you can dual wield while concentrating on a spell that needed a free hand to cast.
