Thread for fun. Tell me about a character you create with a DISNEY inspired backstory. Remake a classic or new Disney Hero/Villian. These don't need to be exact Analogs of the characters, more like inspired heavily by. Have fun with it. Here are some examples
Aladdin
Genasi Rogue with the Urchin Background, Replace Pet Mouse with Monkey in starting equipment.
Maybe grew up in Calimshan Forgotten Realms (Agrabah)
Tricked by an evil sorcerer into entering a Tomb of Wonders to steal a worthless lamp (or ring, knife, jewel, etc)
Turns out Lamp had Genie inside it. Sorcerer was going to kill the character after getting the lamp for them.
Character is now a multi class pact of the Genie Warlock and out to get revenge on the Evil Sorcerer who tried to trick him and win the heart of they Royal Prince/Princess
Woody & Buss
Woody is a Gnome Battle Smith Artificer who uses a pistol.
Buzz is his Steel Defender appears to wear a Space Suit and doesn't realize its a Steel Defender. It fully believes it is a real gnome sent by Star Command to protect the Battle Smith.
Little Mermaid
Triton Bard with the Noble Background
Falls in love with a human
After being forbidden by her parents to pursue the human she makes a deal with a Sea Hag for her love
Multiclass to Fey Pact or the Fathomless Warlock BUT the sea hag has taken her voice as payment
Guess she will have to figure another way to cast her bard and warlock spells without her voice.

Well... one of my players decided that he would play as goofy from mickey mouse. he is over 10 feet tall and his preferred food is raw human flesh. HIs "catchphrase" is: "let's kill the orphans." he says this even if there are no orphans nearby. Once he killed all the adults in a village so there would only be orphans, he then killed all orphans.
I had a hex blade pallylock tiefling whose backstory was a riff on Sleeping Beauty I guess. She was a princess who was cursed by the Evil Fairy Queen to have a terrifying demonic appearance, but her Fairy Godmother was able to write in an escape clause where if she (The character) was able to beat her (The Evil Fairy Queen's) ass with a magic staff before her 20th birthday, she'd become human again.
I liked the concept: I could go in a lot of directions with it over the course of a campaign.
I mean, ONE could, assuming they weren't eaten by a troll.

Sounds like he nailed Goofy, It's like he was in the room...
This seems much more like the stuff of some dark, twisted nightmare version of Disney...
I've often pondered what D&D characters the various Disney characters would be. Kronk has given me some trouble - he has the build of a barbarian, the behaviors of a rogue, the mannerisms of a ranger, and the conscience of a cleric.
In a previous campaign I had decided that I wanted to play as my favorite Disney villain - Jafar. But I also love dragonborn, and since Jafar is from a desert region I decided to make him a brass dragonborn draconic sorcerer. "Ikram Sahir ibn Malik al-Sayyid Ra'ad, Second Son of the House of Ra'ad, Defender of the Burning Sands." And yes, he introduced himself by that whole thing to everyone he met. I took the noble background and I tried to do a similar type of voice, though I'm sure it was terrible. Well, he started out as a fairly standard draconic sorcerer, though I really tried to play up the arrogance and condescension of his noble background. I gradually built him to be a focused fire damage dealer, taking the feat Elemental Adept so his fire spells could bypass targets' resistances.
He had been raised in a small city-state in a distant desert under the strict guidance of his father, the King, and the Grand Vizier. He had an older brother who was destined to take the throne, so Ikram was being raised to be his older brother's Grand Vizier. As Grand Vizier, Ikram would have to be a skilled and resourceful diplomat, so the King sent him to a far away land with no means of support, but a quest to form a team of people with a singular purpose and to attain some great achievement. Well, it was going well... sort of... but being so far from home, and being upset at not having the luxuries of his noble heritage around him, and being freed from the constant discipline of oversight by his King and his trainers, Ikram found his alignment gradually shifting. He decided that he was no longer content to spend his life as a Grand Vizier for his older brother, and eventually for his as-yet-unborn egg of a nephew someday. So Ikram made a deal with a devil lord. If the devil lord would grant Ikram the power to realize his true potential and set him loose as a firestorm upon this world, Ikram would agree to burn entire cities and sacrifice the survivors upon an altar to that devil lord. You know - the standard boilerplate.
Well, it worked. Ikram eventually betrayed the entire party (don't worry, they escaped), and the devil lord and Ikram bamfed to the Burning Sands. Ikram found himself standing in the hot sands of his home desert, not far from the brass gates of his home city. The devil lord transformed Ikram into a greater fire elemental myrmidon and gave him his first task. Kill everyone in the city. So he did. Gradually, as Ikram proved himself and completed tasks he was granted greater power. He can now be found listed in the homebrew monster section of DnDBeyond under his name.
(As soon as Ikram bamfed out and left the party, I replaced him with a nice supportive cleric character to make it up to the rest of the party.)
Flynn Rider - Swashbuckler rogue, human variant with tavern brawler feat. Wields a pan. (Would require your DM to allow you to call the pan a finesse weapon, but i'd allow it)

I quite like the idea of Belle as an Artificer (or possibly Scribe Wizard) and Cinderella as a Warlock with the Fairy Godmother as her fey patron.
