I once used my wish to restart the entire campaign from the beginning for everyone so that my charlatan could then go through it with his knowledge from the future. Like he was Tom Cruise I’m Edge of Tomorrow.

My 9 year old used Wish to make it rain Thanksgiving turkey's on a battlefield to stop an army of Gnolls. They ate for days and forgot why they were going to attack the city in the first place. The party then went and defeated the evil Wizard mass controlling the Gnolls lol.
Gnolls are always hungry, their hunger can't be satiated.
Uhmmmm..... this makes me think about if Gnolls carries on their stomach a... parasite that steals all the eated meal... lol.
Then, what if, instead of killing the gnolls, I try to do a surgery thing just to extract that "parasite" and then.... TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !! no more perma-Hunger for them.

Player: No. I didn't read about it. I thought it sounded cool. What's it do?
DM: You, who played long enough to cast a 9th level spell, picked and cast a spell in combat when you have no idea what it does? I wish for another player. *facepalm*

* I wish to end world hunger/I wish for world peace
Everybody in the world is transported to the astral plane, OR everybody in the world receives a delicious cupcake and for 1 minute nobody is hungry or fighting.
* I wish for a castle, a full sized castle, to appear right on top of that enemy base, about 1 mile up, with walls made of kegs of smokepowder, or ice.
Done! It's a flying castle on a cloud, summoned from a demonic plane, full of angry demons who ally with the enemy.
(although unfortunately it can't be more than 300 feet in any dimension as per the spell description, and it has to appear on the ground)
* I wish to be re-incarnated as a Beastmaster Ranger with a pet adult xxxxxx dragon
Done! You are now a 1 day old baby ranger.
* I wish for the moon to stop orbiting the earth permanently.
Done! The earth and the moon switch places, with the earth now in orbit around the moon. Nobody can tell any significant difference.
* I wish for the comfiest pair of underwear.
Done! They appear, woven from your your party member's hair. They don't fit you.
* I wish I had another ninth- level spell slot.
Done! Time reverses to before you cast Wish.
* I wish I had another permanent 9th-level spell slot.
Done! You change class to become a druid.
* I wish for this Wish to fail
Done! You have been erased from existence and have never existed. It has never been cast, and ergo, cannot be deemed to succeed or fail either way.
* I would wish to know the reason for my existence
wish that no spell you cast (past, present, and future tense) has any effect you don't want at any point in you decide, when you are the one to cast the spell. that means you have no chance of having wish fail, or negative effects from future wishes, and there is no downside to the wish unless you deem it. next wish- be all powerful. DM can't make anything bad happen, you take over that universe, and the rest of the characters happen to exist in a parallel universe where you never existed. you get to be all powerful, and the DM doesn't have to deal with the BS your wish causes.
Any time someone throws the word "and" into the wish or tries to combine several things into one wish with words like "while" and "when", I consider what percentage of each item will be granted to total one wish or grant only one part that pretty much makes the whole thing useless.
"I wish our party was safe at home." - I would grant "safe" only. With the players not knowing the conditions at home - possibly being unsafe there, it could be an impossible wish to put them at home and safe without triggering two separate requests, which I don't allow. (I'd ignore the "was" in this case, interpreting it as "is". I'm not partial to any time travelling without player intent, and then, they have to be careful with the wording.)
One Wish spell, one wish. No fancy wording's going to get around that.
As for Malagaz's response to my divide-by-zero Wish, that's DM's prerogative, but the Wish not being cast was not the wish nor was the person being wished out of existence. The DM would have granted a Wish that wasn't wished. The correct answer is that the Wish simply fails as it's an impossible wish. It doesn't mean that the Wish was actually granted by failing. It just means the Wish itself failed - nothing regarding the effect which only happens at a successful wish, which didn't happen - dead stop at the failure, nada más, end process, exit loop. I had hoped someone would pick up on that. The Wish spell has that solution built into it.

We had someone who tried to wish that spells restricted by moving their location considered the rotation of the planet. The DM granted it because the player forgot that the settings we use has the land in the Material Plane to be static, like the point of origin in the Material universe, with the heavens revolving around instead, like people did so long ago before they actually started studying what was up there. (Yes. It's largely pre-Medieval, but whatevs. "Sod it. It's fun.")

I always explain wish is a powerful spell and you want to be careful with what you say and how it’s worded as results may vary. “State your wish to the DM as precisely as possible” is in the spell description after all.
Home is where the heart is. I would safely lock their souls into their hearts.

BBEG gets his hands on a ring of 3 wishes
Wish 1: be the biggest baddest most evil guy
Wish 2: make adventurer party swap bodies (swap character sheets)
Gets overconfident and doesn't use last wish.
Party beats BBEG, and gets ring with last wish.
Do they swap back? dun dun DUUUUNNNNNN!
I would wish to know the reason for my existence.
...
The spell didn't answer. Am I doing something wrong?

I wish for everyone to have a great holiday season!
D&D is a game for nerds... so I guess I'm one :p
To cast any spell I want as a cantrip
All my rolls are Bat 20 and opposing rolls are Bat 1
That the group stops splitting up
That I didn't need sleep so we could play for 24 hours
Bat1? Haha. Autocorrect? I like that better that the real thing.
I rolled a Batural 20.
