Say I want to make a magic Glaive that uses Dex for attack rolls, or a Heavy Crossbow you fire with Strength, or maybe a mace you wield with Intelligence.
Where and how? I don't see the place to do it anywhere. a screenshot of the right place might help, but I'm lost here.
I can't even figure out how to search homebrew for finesse weapons or anything useful like that to see if someone already made what I'm looking for.
I'm not going to go through the trouble of screenshots. It is modifier type: weapon property. And the modifier subtype: whatever property you want to add.
If you need more help than this, I suggest finding a homebrew tutorial in homebrew forum or YouTube.
The only trick I've worked out is to make a custom feat to go along with the weapon, and attach a custom action to the feat. The action can be an attack and you can set any modifier you want. Then when the PC gets the item, they need to take the feat as well, which is cumbersome but it gets the job done.
Hopefully the homebrew system will be updated at some point.

How would I do that in the homebrew item maker?
You can add weapon properties to weapons. Adding finesse will let you use either STR or DEX. You can't make weapons that use other modifiers.
Hey that worked! Hitting myself over the head for not figuring out you could add Finesse to ranged weapons too.
