I just lost an hour on a creature I was making, giving it a huge amount of description because I accidentally undid a line of text and wanted to redo it because I didn't remember exactly how it was worded. Then I looked for the redo button but saw none, so I thought to ctrl-r and now everything I did is gone. I am very upset but know there is no way to get it back, so I thought to recommend adding an occasional save feature. Like something that saves what you do every 60 seconds or so so that doesn't happen. But if that can't be done then why not allow us to "create" an unfinished homebrew, so that way we can essential "save" our creations.
Can't you save at literally every step of the process? The procedure is exactly what you describe: you create the bare bones, unfinished homebrew and then you have a big red "save changes" button you can click as often as you want.
