I've been seeing alot of discussions on the proposed changes, and all I can think of is how people felt when 4e came out. With that in mind other systems exist that cater more towards what people are looking for in a ttrpg. Might I suggest pathfinder? Or branch out into one of Japan's top ttrpgs sword world 2.0? Resources are readily available and easy to access with a quick Google search.
Totally agree! Variety is important. Maybe I had a bit of hope that I could open some people up to trying sword world, imo has amazing character creation options.

I have no idea why you think that. 4e was a radical change; One D&D is quite clearly incremental (far less change than, say, switching to PF2E; if anything, this latest change makes it more like PF).

Nah, I plan to go along with the changes. Heck, I like nearly all of them.
Minor Tweaks are nothing like the major overhaul that 4th was.
That said we are currently playing Savage Worlds Deadlands (newest), because we like variety, not because we are salty or pouty.
I also run a Shadowrun Anarchy game.
