Not gonna bore anyone with a big spiel so lets just get right into it.
Shadow Blade(2nd Level Illusion Spell)
You weave together threads of shadow to create a sword of solidified gloom in your hand. This magic sword lasts until the spell ends. It counts as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient. It deals 2d8 psychic damage on a hit and has the finesse, light, and thrown properties (range 20/60). In addition, when you use the sword to attack a target that is in dim light or darkness, you make the attack roll with advantage.
If you drop the weapon or throw it, it dissipates at the end of the turn. Thereafter, while the spell persists, you can use a bonus action to cause the sword to reappear in your hand.
Elemental Adept(Feat)
Spells you cast ignore resistance to damage of the chosen type. In addition, when you roll damage for a spell you cast that deals damage of that type, you can treat any 1 on a damage die as a 2.
Awakened Spellbook(Order of Scribes Wizard Feature)
When you cast a wizard spell with a spell slot, you can temporarily replace its damage type with a type that appears in another spell in your spellbook, which magically alters the spell's formula for this casting only. The latter spell must be of the same level as the spell slot you expend.
So with these 3 things would it be possible for an Order of Scribe to element change the Shadow Blade into say Fire and have it benefit from the wizard's Elemental Adept Fire feat? How much of these things would interact? The Shadow Blade may not directly be a spell that deals damage so perhaps won't benefit from the guaranteed 2 rolls, but would it benefit from the Fire resistance ignoring for instance? I've seen this topic debated both ways on it working or not working and am curious about other people's general consensus on the RAW of this interaction or your RAI if you'd allow the interaction to work in your games. I personally think you can element change the Shadow Blade via the Scribe feature, but it will not interact with the Elemental Adept feat in anyway.
Keeping in mind that while DDB has a "Damage/Effect" category for spells which lists "Psychic" for Shadow Blade, the actual rulebooks don't have that category and as such Xanathar's doesn't specify "Psychic" for this spell, I'd rule the spell itself doesn't have a damage type and as such doesn't interact with the feat nor with the Order of Scribes feature). I can certainly see others ruling differently, but that's how I'll do it if it comes up. I'll refer to something like Black Tentacles - the Scribes feature shouldn't be able to change that damage type either, although that's a much clearer case than Shadow Blade.
