I was just wondering what kind of rules/damage etc people would have for a set of hand held vega/wolverine style claws? I would go fir monk and rogue class but what other abilities would you think? Advantage on climbing maybe?
I'd reflavor this, and call it a day, basing it off of the damage of a dagger or a shortsword:
Armblade
Source: Eberron - Rising from the Last War
Weapon (any one-handed melee weapon), common (requires attunement by a warforged)
An armblade is a magic weapon that attaches to your arm, becoming inseparable from you as long as you're attuned to it. To attune to this item, you must hold it against your forearm for the entire attunement period.
As a bonus action, you can retract the armblade into your forearm or extend it from there. While it is extended, you can use the weapon as if you were holding it, and you can't use that hand for other purposes.

Good afternoon team,

Hand held? I’d just treat it like a dagger and call it good. No chance I’d start giving advantage on a skill check just for a weapon.
Not hand held, like actually coming out of your hand like wolverine, I’d just use one of the many natural weapons that lots of PC species have.
