Anyone else thinking that after the the powers that be in WotC after basically trying to screw over the d&d community we have all built up and now with a added service fee being purposed for WotC cash grab think we should all just yet a refund on digital sub and content we purchased?
I do agree WotC should get some monetization for content from major productions, though that 25% was outrageous, 5% be more reasonable. How I am more upset over how the higher up treated thier employees AND the d&d community, like we all just a bunch of sheep and they don't care about the product, the community (they not listen to us and try to make it sound like we are the bad guys here), or quailty.
Honest I never had intrest in Pathfinder but after seeing how WotC really treats customers, Pathfinder looks mighty fine now, and I have master tier sub, all dnd beyond books and over 350 characters here.
For the same reason Hasbro should live with their past decision and actions to release SRD content under OGL1.0a, we should accept and abide by our actions and decisions to have purchased content from a greedy corporate entity.
Feel free to never purchase another Hasbro product ever again, but you need to live with your decision. In the same way Hasbro should, and will once a court rules that they have to.
If the option was available for a refund in exchange for products purchased, on the condition that your account is deleted, I would definitely opt for it at the moment. I'm a Legendary Bundle owner who is likely going to need to swap systems (as it seems obvious Hasbro are keen to clamp down on third party content / services / VTT's which I rely upon heavily) it is a bit frustrating that the companies greed is going to make my expensive digital collection essentially worthless.

you get frustrated over the owner of the intellectual property wanting to get royalties but you don't get upset over companies that have made millions not wanting to do their due diligence. It should be noted that several VTT's have already been giving them their cut.
The DnD ruleset is not intellectual property. As I'm sure you're probably aware, as someone so obviously clued in on corporate culture and copyright law, a game system cannot be trademarked and is not protected by copyright.
The artwork, lore, named creatures or characters? Intellectual property. Adding an ability modifier and proficiency bonus to the result of a d20? Not intellectual property.
To be clear, I'm not frustrated with Hasbro looking for royalties. I'm frustrated that they have shot themselves in the foot by breaking long standing relationships with partners who have fostered the space, causing them to abandon the system in its entirety to create their own open game licences.
If nobody wants to play DnD, I have no use for my Dnd products anymore. That's the root of the frustration.

No, nor should they.
