So I'm loving my tiefling Hexblade! He is a lot of fun to play. Level 4, with a free actor feat, he now has 20 charisma, and mask of many faces. Urban bounty hunter is a blast. I'm looking for advice on how to spice up my hexblades curse and hex spells. I'm using them a lot, and saying "his eyes glow red and he utters a curse" is feeling a bit boring. Any ideas on how to add some flavor to the spells from a roleplay perspective?
Lately I've had so little energy by the time I get to the (VTT) that my descriptions have been a bit stunted. But in general, the glowy eyes thing is a solid enough starting point. How you layer it really depends entirely on the rest of your character though.
In my case; my Hexblade is a Cavalier of Ergoth and devotee of the Raven Queen. This means he's primarily a horseman, with visual stylings taking cues from Winged Hussars. So; black horse with big raven wing frames, on top of his raven crested helm and rune marked pact weapon that occasionally flames with green fire. I've played the hex casting along the lines of:
He tugs the reigns of his stead, turning it slightly aside while casting his blackened eyes upon [insert bad guys name here]. Green rings begin to form in those shadowy orbs where one might expect iris's, as he points his blade at his mark. Whether he spoke or not was hard to tell, but voices could now be heard from the shadows all around, alien words whose literal meaning could only be guessed at, but the intent of which was understood; a condemnation, a pronouncement of doom.
And with that, the winged knight of the Crone charged to deliver on that promise.
Like I said though, less energy... .I have a one year old that needs to be tucked in like fifteen minutes before session time lately!
Thanks those are great suggestions! I want to focus on making it more about the character, rather than the spell or action.
In that case you could reflect the nature of your Warlock and patron's relationship in how the spells operate.
(For instance, a lot of my hexblade's spells were personally flavored by my warlock to look very pretty. Her patron finds it tacky but does it anyway because they're on good terms.)

These kind of things can be fun to customize, you just have to let your mind wander a bit.
Given that it's the hexing effect Including confining or illness-based imagery could be effective, like chains or bones or syringes, etc.
