Me and the team want to try the Dungeons of Drakenhiem campaign digitally to utilise maps. I just want to make sure before I buy it that my expectations are correct.
My assumption is that if i buy it digitally I will be able to invite my friends into a lobby of sorts and then share the digital maps with them, they can move their counted on the map and I will be able to control the monsters/fog of war as to what they see.
As we are all gathered around a table I could be directing the game play on my iPad and they would be able to see it on their iPads.
I will have access to essentially a PDF version of the campaign book to read through.
I think thats it, any further info would be helpful.
Not a PDF so much. It'll be a digital compendium, with built in links to statblocks and such.
But yes, if you have the master tier and wish to use the Maps feature, it would have the maps, where you could deposit tokens on and move, fog of war etc.
Do note, the players can also move the monster's tokens as well...so tell them not to do that.
Note that Maps is in Alpha at the moment - this is relevant because to access it, you need a Master tier subscription. You get a week free trial, but after that it's about $5/month (it recently changed, but I can't check because DDB is being buggy).
