The exact text in Xanathar's "The character gains a +1 bonus on the check for every workweek beyond the first that is spent seeking a seller and a +1 bonus for every additional 100 gp spent on the search, up to a maximum bonus of +10. The monetary cost includes a wealthy lifestyle, for a buyer must impress potential business partners."
No example is given, so I added the "Wealthy Lifestyle" cost of 4 gp/day. Somewhere else, it states that "Downtime activities are tasks that usually take a workweek (5 days) or longer to perform." Hence, a "workweek" is five days.
But does that 100 gp/week cost already include the 4 gp/day? Or does a PC need to spend an additional 4 gp/day during their downtime workweek research? No example is given so I am uncertain how to interpret the total cost.
This has come up in my current campaign wherein we are currently having 4 weeks of Downtime.
I assume it's covered, if only because they prefer nice round numbers for these kind of things. Basically it just means that while the character is pursuing this downtime activity, they're maintaining a Wealthy lifestyle, insofar as the DM feels that's relevant to the campaign.

From the wording, I believe that the cost of a wealthy lifestyle is being included in that weekly cost.
