I’m currently trying to figure out if it’s possible to add the Transformations from the new Grim Hollow 2024 Player’s Book, and was wondering if anyone has any information or knowledge about how to do this, also if anyone from the DnD Beyond Support Team has information about this as well would be appreciated.
There isn’t built-in support for them, I’m afraid. If I was trying to make it work, though, I’d first look at doing it through homebrew a homebrew feat(s).
Which specific transformation were you trying to use?
Just any of them, Specter was the one I want to use, also it should be noted that the Grim Hollow’s Epic Boon does have Transformation requirements and options for them…which I find weird that the Sheet doesn’t support it…
From what Ghostfire staff said in their Discord D&D Beyond tried implementing the mechanics for the transformations but couldnt get them to work without everything else falling apart. The most common workaround in the Discord community seems to be homebrewing them as a series of feats
Looking through Specter, I don’t think there’s any way to build it in a way that guides players through the available choices.
I think the simplest solution would be to create each boon/flaw as its own feat, and have the players manually add them as needed.
(And actually, I probably wouldn’t bother adding anything until it was needed. I’d find out which one they’re picking and then build just that one.)
You can add a drop down choice selection to feats, then all you need to do is copy the previous level and add/adjust it to get all four levels. You can make the choice by clicking on the feat after manually adding it.

You’re welcome to try it that way, but I can already tell you that’s not gonna work. You won’t be able to set up those choices in a single feat in a way that follows the rules. Even if you could, you won’t be able to make those choices all adjust the character sheet in the way they’re intended to. The feat system simply wasn’t built for this.
As someone who've used transformation from grim hollow for years, long before it was on dndbeyond, the best solution I have and I've been using is to create a feat per boon and a feat per flaw, except for the first level of transformations where boon and flaw are combined in a single feat.
I don't have the new version of the transformation so I don't know how that system would work with them, but so far with the existing transformation it's the easiest solution. The biggest issue is the mess it creates in your homebrew feat 😅
I was planning to do something similar, do you have any of the updated transformations posted? And is it possible that D&D Beyond will eventually implement it?

My apolocheese
Regarding them implementing it, I'd consider it pretty unlikely given the post above that says they attempted it and were unable to.
