Or another great question, if you design your mini in the character creator, can you order that STL file so you can have it printed? If Hasbro is looking to make more $$, this is a great way to do it. That being said, another great idea would be to allow you to design your levels, and if you wanted to, to download an stl file, broken down in to manageable pieces that you can print in FDM or resin for physical games.
They said something about partnering with outside companies. That's why the showed Optimus prime. If anything there may be just be an STL file that you can upload to. It's still not really enough information and they are only allowing certain things to be let out to the public. We'll have to wait till the beta drops for those that signed up for it.
That tease of that Optimus Prime model (which looked like it was still in a polygonal stage btw) clearly implies that it was an imported model, so I don't see why Heroforge wouldn't be compatible.
If it isn't then we can always wait for a future update.
If Project Sigil allowed that, then I would gladly 3D Print them with a (Resin) 3D Printer if I ever get one. It would also save me gas money from all of the searching in stores, not to mention overpriced online orders of premade minis.
I’m fine with micro transactions, as long as they are reasonable. After all, you would buy the physical minis. It’s also better than making us pay for the software. As long as we get to keep it, it is reasonably priced, and I can add custom monsters, I am fine with it https://mobdro.bio/ .
The answer is, we don't know any more than you do. They have been tight Lipped about it. They haven't even told us exact specs, required size, if we have to all have it or if players without it can join and view via streaming or sharing, what the business model is, how much custimization freedom we will have, ETC. They haven't said much that i know of. I have kinda written off project Sigil, they have been so coy with their info. i can't plan, put resources aside to improve my rig, ETC, that i have preemptively decided it ain't worth my enthusiasm. Couple that with the irksome quirks of DDB, I just can't see myself switching.

Do we know yet if Sigil will let us import things like heroforge minis into it?

So.... Yes, or no?
Probably no but there’s no way to know until Sigil is finished and released properly, it’s still at user testing alpha status at the moment
No, you can create a mini on the fly, but you cannot import one.
