Can anyone let me know if I've correctly interpreted the usage guidelines for submitting homebrew please?
I've tried to create a magical magnifying visor 'owned by Pumat Prime'. This is where I'm uncertain... I haven't used any Critical Role content but I have used the character name since the narrative behind this item is that it belongs to Pumat Prime in Zadash. The reason I created it is that like many I love Pumat and while you might not know, he has expanded his business to the Sword Coast. Specifically, I decided that he should open a branch of The Invulnerable Vagrant in Baldur's Gate, for a campaign I'm running with my family. Staffed by more Simulacrums of course.
In my imagination, the magic visor is kept by Pumat Prime in Zadash, where all the high-end work is done. But a replica will be on display in the Baldur's Gate store.
You can make whatever homebrew you want - licensed or not - if it's for your own personal use. But if it's not yours - don't publish it. You'll still be able to use it on your characters or in a campaign if you don't publish it.
Remove his name from the name of the item. This of some sort of history or something, how he came up with the idea of making it or something like that and name it accordingly.
You can still refer to it as Pumat's Dilator in your game but it's best not to use any licensed content (including names) anywhere in your items name or description.
You could easily create this using open gaming content and just refer to it as Pumat's Dilator, in your own game.

Thanks. I'll see if working out the version updates to items is as easy as making the item in the first place. Loving D&D Beyond... my restraint for 'not buying any of the many books I already own in hard copy' lasted about 3 minutes once I started to see how awesome the tools all are.

I hope I haven't done anything against the rules.

To be safe, it is usually best to remove references to licenced content as well.
