I'm liking the layout a lot and the filters are really nice for items/monsters. I was wondering if there is going to be a random encounter or random item/treasure generator built in at some point.
I am really hoping that Wizards can bring in the functionality that already exists out on the internet into one place. Kobold Fight Club is amazing for generating random encounters as you can list what materials you own, the number and level of party members, and where they are. You can then ask it for various levels of encounters. I really hope Wizards takes a long look at everything the internet has created and reach out and try to license or include what has already been built.
We're doing our own book on Kickstarter! It's going to be amazing--300 pages, art, and so much high quality content you'll be drownin' in it... Click here to check it out and sign-up!
Came to the forum to suggest a random button, especially if it's based on filter. Would also be interesting to create a random table that can be used later.
This could just like the random generator in the DM guide, input number of party and their classes and levels, and the challenge rating/type of creature. Then it could roll on the DM guide and provide maybe 20 different results for a DM to choose or alter from?

+1 to this. Hoping it is in the 'home brew tools' in phase 3
Would love to see this added in the future. Throwing my support in for it.
DM since I was 11 (started at launch of 3rd edition). Love the game and excited for its future.
Would be a very nice feature to add.
+1 from me
I have a bad feeling about this...

"Your character, he died" - The Hateful DM
I hope beyond hope for a encounter generator (with the specs @Derokk said) and a treasure/hoard generator!
NPC generator would be nice but the monster and treasure/hoard is necessary!
Check out the many mes here!
+1 from me!
+1 from me too. But at that point, I will be a D&D Beyond addict....
While I'm sure the dev team is already well aware of the desire for this feature a hearty +1 from the gentlemen. (I believe these bonuses stack)
Random tables, generally, yeah. The ones from the DNG, itself, would be good for that matter (like Lingering Injuries) and treasure.

+ A Table of Contents That's Better Than Nothing (hundreds of creative, storied items that are "better than nothing")
+ A Table of Contents To Worry Your Players With (dozens of weird, storied traps to make your players nervous)

I've been trying to think of how I would utilize this site so far, and if random generators were added I think I'd use it every session. +1 good Sir!
This is a feature that I would use regularly.
Agreed, this would be a good feature to have.
