I just wanted to hear some creative ideas about how different groups have made use of the supernatural regions from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything: how you implemented it thematically, what sort of effect it had, how fun the encounter was, etc.
I recently sent the party I DM for into a cave under the effect of the Unraveling Magic zone (with the reason being that nature spirits in the area had been disturbed). I had players roll on the table whenever they cast a spell of 1st level or higher and I only have one active effect at a time. The first time, they got a teleporting effect which ended almost instantly to no real end. The second time was a doozy, as the entire cave was now effectively under antimagic field. The party is very melee focused, but has several half casters, one full caster, and a bunch of magic items/weapons. It has been a real curveball that has changed the way this whole encounter might play out (both in ways that work for and against the players), and I am super excited to see how it plays out at our next session.
