My group is planning to do a one shot with 20th level characters in a few weeks time. The idea will be just a massive battle, set in the distant past of our current setting. We're a party of 4 and it's most of our's first campaign. I have a couple of different ideas but can't decide which would be more fun for a pull-no-punches, crazy murder run.
Idea 1 is a Kenku Storm sorcerer. End up with spell sniper and elemental adept - lightning. I'm picturing all of the lightning and thunder damage spells, plus things like fly, reverse gravity, time-stop. Metamagic options, quickened spell, careful, distant, not sure on the last one. He should be able to throw enemies around with all the control spells he'll have.
Idea 2 would be an orc open hand or drunken master monk 17/totem barbarian 3. I have no idea how effective he'd be but should be hilarious to play.
Idea 3 is a goblin scout rogue 14/shadow monk 6. Make him impossible to pin down.
They all have their pros and cons but I'm not sure which would be the most fun. I'm leaning towards the Kenku, purely for the fact that they'd be a headache to play long-term but should be interesting for a one-shot.
