Hello this is me pointing out the odd similarities in the dragon age grey wardens as well as the dnd bloodhunter/witcher. Both drink a strange elixir to get their powers and most die in the process. Both are looked down upon and feared by the generally populace. Both have a strange connection to evil beings. Anyone see it to just give me your thoughts on it.
Immunity to disease and detection of good and evil seem reasonable. They also tend to be more resilient than most given only the strong survive the joining, and Morrigan hints at the taint giving them extra "stamina". Permanent death of fiends outside of their home realms. Avernus described ways to harness their blood. Corypheus may be an example of mastery of those abilities.
They should have detect good and evil inately sense in the game whenever darks pawn were near they could sense they were nearby without seeing them, sense their blood is connected with theres. Or if anything perhaps make it to where they can choose a set amount of creatures they can detect and gain more as they level up

Somebody @ Matt Mercer on twitter. I need this subclass.
So you see the similarities too. And yeah they would need their own order/subclass
Grey wardens are a prestige class in Pathfinder.
"Not all those who wander are lost"
That's pretty cool, have to look into that
The Pathfinder version doesn’t fit the DA theme though.
What would some DA inspired Grey Warden subclass abilities be?
Detect Evil and Good on demand? Maybe as a ritual or number of times equal to INT mod?
Something called Might of Weisshaupt because that sounds cool.
Maybe an ability to conscript people for a specific cause?
