D&D Beyond only supports official D&D classes with the exception of the Blood Hunter as part of their sponsorship of Critical Role. There likelihood of D&D Beyond supporting random homebrew or third party classes is exceptionally low
It would be great if D&D Beyond could start with things like an optional, rebalanced Twilight Cleric etc. Certainly, there could also be homebrew classes that fitted into game balance better than this which could also be presented as game options.
For instance, on the character creation home tab you have to enable critical roll content to access bloodhunter. Something similar could theoretically be used to enable selected homebrew classes to be used. But Dayvd mentioned the crucial issue, sponsorship.
Ok but can D&D Beyond add the feature to make custom classes yourself. Everything is else can be home brewed but classes and I think being able to home brew classes on D&D Beyond would be super great.
They should have, but they haven't. We're over halfway through DDB's term with 5e (DDB started in 2016, 5e as we know it will be adapted or replaced in 2024), so I'm not sure it will change now, seeing as they've not done anything about it yet.
It's obviously not an easy addition to make, or they'd have done it by now. Given that there will be a whole raft of changes to be implemented in three years time and we haven't seen it in the last five, I highly doubt that they'd consider starting to make the changes necessary to implement custom classes. The only way we'll see it before the 2024 changeover is if they were already a substantial way through doing them and they decide that they might as well finish. That's entirely possible, but I wouldn't expect them to decide to make the change now.
On the brightside, since they're going to have to do substantial changes for the 2024 changeover, it's a lot more likely that they would consider doing these.other changes at the same time.

We don't know almost anything about the change coming in 2024. Saying that 5e is going away is more than likely completely inaccurate, and to imply that DDB a it is won't work is wild speculation.

That's why I never said it was going away, so don'tput words in my mouth. Regardless, whatever is coming is substantially different. They've said it will be compatible with what we have, but it is still going to be different enough to warrant the fuss they made over it. It's not just going to be a TCoE or XGtE. That's going to involve significant work on the system to account for it. Hardly wild speculation.

Heck, I'd be content to just let subclasses affect base class features. There's a few really cool subclasses in Exploring Eberron I'd love to implement and have tried really hard to get even halfway working (especially since ExE is an official D&D book in all but name, really), but the homebrew editor just chokes on them. It sucks, especially since we might actually get an Eberron game started soonish and I'd love to have those subs available. Buuut...

Blugh.
I mean... I have all but one done and the only reason one isn't done is due to the aforementioned base class feature.

The Evolutionists is a really well developed home brew class and I think it should be made in to a usable class on dnd beyond. Can someone back me up.

This isn't the thread to discuss the future of D&D. Please stay on topic
