I wanted to make a fighter with some kind of pet ability that isn't just a Fighter that got access to the Find Familiar spell.
Any power scaling that needs to be adjusted? Found a possible Feat that might make an absolute broken character if paired with this homebrew? Go ahead and lay it on me, I really do want to make this an enjoyable class not just a stupidly broken one.
I think this has some good ideas in it in terms of what it can offer, but I think you should focus on giving the guardian additional options instead of improved options at a later level and make your 3rd level options improve automatically at 10th level.
I've found that templating your abilities based on existed spells and abilities work really well, and I think taking some inspiration from the Path of the Ancestral Guardian Barbarian subclass can give you an idea of where your die classes need to be on certain abilities.
I think you should also allow the familiar to be able to make skill checks when you get the ability at 3rd level. In fact I think your 3rd level feature has enough power budget to be very similar to the Warlock's Pact of the Chain feature, even with your additional bonus action abilities on top of it. If you are hesitant to model your ability too closely to find familiar, I would at least allow yourself to integrate your 7th level feature into your 3rd.
I would also take a look at Matthew Mercer's Echo Knight from Explorer's Guild to Wildemount for some inspiration for subclasses that have summonable effects but aren't quite find familiar.
