Apologies in advance if I posted this in the wrong category or whathaveyou.
As the title says, I am looking for a spell that causes the target(s) to automatically fail their next save, or at the very least get disadvantage or a hefty penalty or something of the kind. If this kind of thing already exists, then all more the better, but I'm not opposed to getting a good homebrewed one from you good people, or even getting good insights from y'all and making one myself, but thought to check and see if one already was out there before attempting to design one myself!
So that's my inquiry, have any of you encountered/created something of this kind and implemented it in a balanced way into your games? If so I'd love to see what y'all have come up with!

I haven't done something like that, but I have some ideas for how the spell would work. It should probably be enchantment based, and take note that an instant fail save is an extreme debuff. The spell would have to be moderately high in level, with a medium to low chance of succeeding.
There aren’t any spells that specifically call out failing the next save, but spells that inflict conditions can cause auto-fails on things like Strength. hold person comes to mind.

Yeah, a moderately high enchantment based spell is something along the lines of what I was thinking, thanks for the insights!
