War Sorcerer is another work in process I have going on for a Sorcerer subclass. It is based upon the Sorcerer making a connection and drawing power from the Infernal Battlefield of Acheron.
I am still pondering over the sorcery point system below. I am not sure if it takes too much away from regular point use, but it was intended to do that...so the player has to make choices where to spend them etc. I am also not sure if I like the capstone ability, I was thinking about summoning some warriors from Acheron instead???
The eternal force of war has suffused you with magic. That power arises from Acheron or a realm like it — a plane of existence shaped entirely by internal struggle of endless warring. Your mind has become entangled in the infernal hardship of war; perhaps your ancestors even took part in defining wars of the past. This connection to past wars and to the Infernal Battlefield of Acheron allows you to hone your thoughts and physicality for battle. Perhaps it is an obsession, a calling or possibly dogmatic, either way you are beginning a journey of domination through thoughts of war.
War Magic
1st-level War Magic feature
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the War Spell table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an evocation, abjuration or a transmutation spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.
In addition, consult the Manifestations of Order table and choose or randomly determine a way your connection to order manifests while you are casting any of your sorcerer spells.

Archeron's War Lust
6th-level War Sorcerer feature
You can tap into the internal struggle of Acheron's endless warring, this connection hardens your resolve and endurance. As an action/bonus action/reaction (listed below), you can expend sorcery points to bolster yourself or others for war and you can divide up your sorcery points in anyway you see fit for your War Lust.

Mercykiller Order
14th-level War Sorcerer feature
You have aligned your consciousness to the order of Mercykillers from the City of Fumes. Mercy is weakness, and weakness death...you are judge, jury and executioner on the battlefield. If you are within 5 feet of a enemy, and the enemy has fewer than 25 hit points remaining, your next attack is rolled with advantage. If you kill the target out right, your punishment restores one sorcerer point.
You now roll with advantage for all intimidation checks directed toward others and intimidation checks directed toward you.
Acheron's Drums of War
18th-level War Sorcerer feature
You channel the spirits of Acheron, and as an action you can conjure a spectral war drum, which floats along your side for the duration of this feature. The drum will start playing a marching war beat, boastering all allies (including summoned creatures considered allies) within 60 feet. The drum does not require your concentration.
For 10 min, you and others gain the following benefits:
War Resolve - immunity to fear, and fear based spell.
War Agility - +2 to armor class.
War March - your movement speed is increased by 10.
War Mobility - you gain advantage when rolling against the restrained condition from terrain, magic or basic grapples etc.
***The drum can be targeted by dispel magic, must roll against your Sorcerer spell DC to successfully dispel the Drum of War.
