I am working on running Tomb of Annihilation for some friends in the coming months, I was wondering if there was anyone who could help me with a couple things. The big thing, is dehydration, insect repellent, and other illnesses. How have people been using these in their games, or is this something that can be left out?
The other question I have is, does anyone have any fun homebrew or optional rules that make this module better? They can be general homebrew rules, or rules specific to ToA.
These things fall under the perview of exhaustion (dnd has some good rule for dehydration,so i'll get to the insects)
Insects could be an easy con save,or exhaustion, and give disadvantage on concentration saves while in area with them. The Insect is homebrew, but pretty simple,In general I would the dmg and phb for this stuff, there's alot, and people tend to miss it.
