I'm thinking of adding tanks into my home brew. Theses are Vehicles that I'm talking about not the players.
the classes are:
Light tank: high speed, maneuverability, and rate of fire (attack actions), but low hp and armour. small gun and damage
Medium tank: Medium everything.
Heavy tank: High hp, armour and damage. low speed, maneuverability and rate of fire. big gun, big damage.
Tank destroyer: Medium hp, speed and maneuverablility. high armour and hp. huge gun and damage. low Rate of fire
Any help on ideas for stats for these? AC, HP, Speed, etc. and how would I Homebrew them? Use the template of a Ship that already exists and modify it? Or start from scratch?
Thanks,
Homebrewer Jaxon

I will always consider ideas for my campaigns. Only the ones I like get the investigation check.
Look at the Infernal War Machines in BG: Descent into Avernus to consider things like armor plating thresholds, damage resulting in complications beyond, vehicle complications, vehicular exhaustion/break down and repairs. It's a bit setting specific (vehicles are powered by Hell's "soul coins" and the vehicles are all wheeled, but the foundation of the setting should be inspirational for your retread, so to speak than porting over the ship rules.

Yeah, I don't think DDB really supports vehicles, even stuff in the books to the way I think you're wanting it to. This would definitely be pencil and paper homebrew. I could see some future iteration of the Encounter Builder being able to assign vehicles to player characters and encounter monsters; but I don't think that's high on the list of things to support.

Just realized that there is no homebrew selection for vehicles. *sigh*. So now I might have to make them as a monster.... hmmm
