I’m trying to give some skeletons magic items. I’m not sure how to go about adding the weapons and other stuff to their sheet other than manually changing their sheet to reflect the effects. But like is their a way to for example just say I add a belt of dwarven kind of like the hand of vecna and everything updates to represent the new effects?
You'll need to homebrew a variant of the monster and make manual adjustments to account for what the magic item provides. This could also affect their CR. The DMG has something of a guide on how to create and modify monster stat blocks.
