Alright so I've been playing D&D for a while and as my first proper post (I've commented and made a bug report before) I want to ask you people of the community to help me make my homebrew creations to the next level and maybe even make a name for myself with my creations if I could manage. My first creation I'd like looked at is actually one I made awhile back but nobody has commented on their thoughts concerning it, or how balanced it is.

I hope it's not that bad, but I've never had someone critique my work before. Thanks in advance.
I'd say this is great very good maybe make the teleportation ability like 30 or so feet instead but since its once every long reast maybe a little more
Hmm I get what you mean about the lower range It's been awhile since I've given this subclass a real look Since the rules are a tad odd for the ballistics training, would it be better to tie the usage of those traits to proficiency? Or to leave as is? I feel like you should be able to do it more often but I don't know if that would trash the "balance" that already exists. I hope we can get some more opinions =p
I'm all for women empowerment but sometimes we all need a hero.

what firearm rules are you using? Are you using the DMG rules, the Matt Mercer's Exandria rules (my preference) or a different homebrew system?
The thing I don't like about the Exandria firearm rules is that they were originally designed for Pathfinder, which has a lot more micro-managing inherently built into the game, and which gives more freedom for what you can do during combat. On top of that, those rules are also designed to interact specifically with the Gunslinger subclass, which has special rules for handling, loading, and repairing weapons. Without those class features it's basically just a louder, worse version of a crossbow...
That said... it works for the Gunslinger. If this subclass were to include more text to interact with those complications it would work okay, but if anything this subclass seems to be focused on simplifying firearms, especially since it just innately allows you to ignore the loading and ammo properties. I guess with that detail alone it does kind of balance out the Exandria gun rules... aside from their misfire feature, the extra cost and effort of getting ammunition is partially factored into the weapons' power... it's really the only downside to the DMG firearms, despite them overall dealing more damage at range.

I write homebrew and don't publish it. (evil, I know)
