The party just did a one-shot where two players were infected by tadpoles. They briefly mutated, turning on the party during the fight against the brain controlling them and the othe flayers, but reverted once the brain was dead.
What sort of psionic aftereffects might they expect going forward? I'd like to give them one positive effect and one negative.
For the negative I'm thinking a simple vulnerability to psychic attacks, but I'm open to suggestion.
My idea for a benefit was something on the edge of telepathy, like advantage on conversation-related INT rolls, e.g., Investigation to determine if someone is lying or concealing information. However, someone pointed out to me on reddit that this might be too easy for them to take advantage of.
Does anyone have any ideas, or a way to temper the INT rolls idea?
