yeah so i had this idea for a robotic dnd race, so I got writing. And I figure i'd give it to D&D beyond, ATM I'm too lazy to make it into one of the homebrew races thing, I might later. WHo knows anyways. Here
Base Traits
Even without a subtype, all Mechamorphs share certain universal traits:
Age: Mechamorphs are ageless constructs. They do not age and are immune to effects of aging.
Size: Mechamorphs vary in size depending on their subtype. Most range from Medium to Large.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Construct Nature: You are a construct. You do not need to eat, drink, or breathe. Instead, you enter a resting state for 4 hours to gain the benefits of a long rest. You are immune to disease.
Integrated Body: You can’t wear or remove armor. Instead, you can integrate armor into your body over the course of 1 hour. While integrated, armor doesn’t impose disadvantage on checks, and you gain its benefits.
Mechamorph Subtypes
Titan
Massive and indomitable, Titans are designed for raw strength and protection.
Size: Large.
Heavy Metal: You count as one size larger for carrying, pushing, dragging, and lifting weight. When you deal melee weapon damage, add your proficiency bonus if you haven’t moved more than 10 feet that turn.
Unyielding Frame: You have advantage on saving throws against being pushed, grappled, or knocked prone.
Siege Engine: You deal double damage to objects and structures.
Reinforced Chassis: Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by an additional 1 every time you level up.
Enchanted
Imbued with magic, Enchanted Mechamorphs serve as living spellcasters and arcane conduits.
Size: Medium.
Arcane Resonance: You know one cantrip from the Wizard spell list. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability.
Magical Core: You can cast detect magic and identify once per long rest without expending a spell slot.
Arcane Empowerment: When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, choose one ally within 10 feet. They gain temporary hit points equal to the spell’s level.
Warmachine
Built for relentless combat, Warmachines are devastating soldiers.
Size: Medium.
Integrated Weaponry: You can integrate one weapon into your arm. It can’t be disarmed unless you choose to detach it (1-hour process).
Battle Reflexes: You can take one additional reaction per round.
Combat Prowess: Once per long rest, you can take the Attack action as a bonus action.
Shadowlurker
Silent and deadly, Shadowlurkers are built for stealth and infiltration.
Size: Medium.
Shadowstep: As a bonus action, you can teleport to an unoccupied space within 30 feet that you can see and that is in dim light or darkness. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Silent Frame: You have proficiency in Stealth, and you can move through spaces occupied by creatures larger than you without expending extra movement.
Dark Stalker: You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made in dim light or darkness.
Destroyer
The epitome of devastation, Destroyers thrive in wreaking havoc on everything in their path.
Size: Large.
Overpowering Strikes: Your melee weapon attacks deal an extra 1d4 damage.
Fury Unleashed: When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can move up to 15 feet without provoking an opportunity attack
Berserker Core: Once per long rest, when you drop to 0 hit points, you can drop to 1 hit point instead and immediately make one melee attack as a reaction.
Swarm Carrier
A marvel of intricate engineering, Swarm Carriers are designed to command and support autonomous construct swarms. These swarms are extensions of their will, capable of executing complex maneuvers and adapting to the battlefield. The Swarm Carrier is a challenging subtype that rewards tactical play and creativity.
Size: Medium.
Swarm Command: As an action, you summon a swarm of tiny constructs that occupies a 10-foot square within 30 feet of you. The swarm lasts for 1 minute, or until you dismiss it as a bonus action. The swarm is friendly to you and your allies and acts on your turn. You can command it to take the following actions (choose one per turn):
Attack: The swarm makes a melee attack against a creature in its space. It deals 1d4 piercing damage, increasing to 2d4 at level 11 and 3d6 at level 17.
Distract: The swarm harasses a creature in its space. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier) or have disadvantage on attack rolls until the start of your next turn.
Repair: The swarm restores hit points equal to 1d4 + your Intelligence modifier to a construct or object in its space.
Hive Mind: You have an instinctive bond with your swarm. You can telepathically communicate with it within 60 feet, and you gain advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) and Wisdom (Perception) checks while the swarm is active.
Dispersal Protocol: When you take damage, you can use your reaction to release your swarm in a protective burst. The swarm reduces the damage by 1d6 + your level and scatters to a location within 30 feet. The swarm reforms on your next turn in an unoccupied space within range. Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest to do so again.
Uh let me know if something's too broken, any edits I should make before I most likely make this in the homebrew section of D&Dbeyond

I can probably find a reddit or discord server and force people to play it. I'll let you know about developments. And sorry I took so long to respond, we just took a test in school

They gave it a One-shot campaign, they used shadowlurker and said it was a lot of fun. But the DM did mention how the dark-themed abilities we're used rarely

I personally think the Swarm Carrier and Destroyer might be a little OP. Destroyer might be fine, the Swarm Carrier is definitely overpowered

The Swarm Carrier seems less OP now. I think it’s good. You might just want to actually play as this first and then decide what needs to be changed.
