The Oath of the Watchers subclass doesn't work properly on the 2024 Paladin as it doesn't provide the Oath Spells like it should. While I have managed to fix this by manually adding those spells to the actual Oath Spells feature as opposed to the overall subclass itself, I've run into another issue: Aura of the Sentinel breaking.
On the non-homebrew recreated subclass, this feature works perfectly; granting my proficiency bonus to my character sheet's initiative. However, as soon I copy it into homebrew, this feature breaks, and does so no matter if I put this homebrew version on the 2024 or the 2014 Paladin (which is unlike the Oath Spells which, prior to my fix, had the homebrew copy work only on the 2014 Paladin even if I copied the subclass from the 2024 Class).
When I go into Modifier subclass feature option, I'm presented with this: - Modifier Type: Bonus - Modifier Subtype: Initiative - Available To Multiclass: ✔ - Everything else is empty.
No matter what I try and change, nothing seems to work. - Modifier Type: Proficiency + Modifier Subtype: Initiative. ❌ - Additional Bonus Types: Proficiency. ❌ - Additional Bonus Types: Proficiency + Fixed Value Type: 0 (same as my sheet's unmodified Initiative Bonus). ❌ - Modifier Type: Proficiency + Modifier Subtype: Initiative + Additional Bonus Types: Proficiency + Fixed Value Type: 0. ❌ - Modifier Type: Expertise (just to try and see if it worked) + Modifier Subtype. ❌
I even looked into the Feature's Action Option which I'm fairly certain would not be tied to my sheet having +PB on my Sheet checking on and off the "Is Proficient" box, and I get further nothing.
If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd be happy to receive the help. Right now the only other thing I can think of is to give up with the homebrew subclass fix and instead use the non-homebrew version and creating a separate homebrew Feat that adds the always prepared Oath Spells, assuming that is possible (I haven't toyed with that yet), but I would prefer to have the subclass working as intended.
