I know that the new UA variants aren’t coming any time soon. But I liked it for the ranger and decided to try to make it work for my Son’s ranger. I made a feat that gave the “Roaming” feature and also the ability to cast Hunter’s Mark like Favored Foe. Then by making a variant human I was able to get him his first level features... only they are combined with the normal Ranger first level features (where are meh anyway) at the expense of a feat. However, it feels balanced.
Is there a better way to implement the new rules that I’m not thinking of?
