My son wants to play a battlerager in an upcoming campaign. We were both underwhelmed by the subclass presented in SCAG so we thought we would redo the battlerager. I have come to the DDB hive mind to see if what we have come up with is balanced and fair. Thank you in advance for your help/suggestions.
Battlerager Armor
This medium armor is worn by the elite Dwarven warriors known as battleragers. Made of metal, the armor is covered in spikes and blades in order to facilitate the unique fighting style of battleragers. The armor has the following properties:

- AC 15 + DEX MOD (Max +2)/ Weight 55 Lbs./ Disadvantage on stealth/ Cost: 500 GP
- You can make an unarmed melee attack with the armor for D8 + STR MOD on a successful hit
- Magical versions of this armor (+1,+2,+3 - Rare / Very Rare/ Legendary) confer their bonus on to hit and damage rolls as well as AC
