This Battle Royale will take place on a circular map, divided into quadrants. The map is a 75’ radius dome that peaks at 75’ in the center. There will be lair actions and other dynamic elements to the map. There will be things that can be explored and used in various ways. This is a viable map for any class, there will be places to hide for rogues, environments to interact with for rangers and druids, shaded places for Shadow monks to bampf…
If you want to participate, you should create a level 20 character using point buy.You can select the following items in addition to your starting equipment - 3 uncommon, 1 rare, 1 very rare, 1 legendary. The legendary item must be approved by me.All races and subclasses are acceptable, including potentially UA (run it by me), but no homebrew. In an effort to make all classes and subclasses a viable option, I’m going to change the following things.
Bard - you can Inspire yourself
Cleric - Divine Intervention=Wish spell
Fighter - Cavaliers can have a mount (approved by me), just know it will almost definitely die a horrible, painful death. So, if you want that on your conscience…
Paladin - level 20 oath features last 30 seconds
Ranger - Beastmaster can have an animal companion (approved by me), see my notes on Fighter
Warlock - Eldritch Master takes one free action on your turn
Other things to note:
Everyone will have one free round where you cannot attack.Use this to move around the map, Rage, Stealth, and otherwise prep and buff yourself.
Familiars already exist, as do “steeds” from Find Steed or Greater Steed, no spell slots required.
Flying is definitely okay and you won’t necessarily take more damage from being up high, but should you stop flying for whatever reason you would obviously take fall damage.
Monks will have things they can run up, they can run up the exterior dome up to a height of 10’ before it is no longer considered a vertical surface.
Any non PC allies (animal companions, summoned creatures) act at the same initiative as you.If you cast a conjuration spell, the conjured being will not act until the next round.
If you forget something including any additional damage effects or the actions of your NPC allies and we have moved on to someone else’s turn, we will not go back.I would make a list of everything you’ve got going.
For example, a level 20 Scourge Aasimar Oath of Conquest Paladin could have the following effects without accounting for any effects from magical items:
Paladin features
30’ Aura of Protection (applies to any current allies, including your Greater Steed you have summoned and celestials you have summoned)
30’ Aura of Courage (applies to the same creatures)
30’ Aura of Conquest (damages anyone frightened of you on their turn, plus they have 0 movement)
Resistance to all damage (Invincible Conqueror)
Scornful Rebuke
Attack x3 (Invincible Conqueror)
Divine Smite for extra damage
Aasimar features
10’ Radiant Consumption (radiant damage to everyone in the area, including you, but…)
Celestial Resistance - You are resistant to radiant and necrotic damage, which - combined with the resistance from paladin - means that you take 1/4 damage
Allies/Other
Pegasys from Find Greater Steed
Celestial Spirit from Summon Celestial
Spiritual Weapon
Armor of Agathys
