Tears of Khyber is a 5th Edition Minecraft Roleplay Server set in the world of Eberron, a post-war noir world of magical industrialization. Our story takes place on the frontier where our small colony struggles against the wildlands of the Viridian Isle.
About Our Community
We have a dedicated team of Dungeon Masters to host expeditions and questlines that PCs may pursue at their leisure, and we are always looking to add to our Staff Team. We have Players and Staff in both EU and NA time zones.
How does this compare to a regular D&D game?
Tears of Khyber is much closer to a West Marches-style game than a regular D&D game because of the size of the playerbase and the persistent world of the game server. There is also a free-form element to it that is much like play-by-post roleplay. The world is always up and running and available for characters to interact in without a present Dungeon Master.
To keep up with the persistent nature of the world, we have basic economic systems to make money, gather resources, and build structures over time.
In addition, we also have a custom skills system in place to allow for creative liberty in character creation and progression so no two characters are exactly the same.
Why Minecraft?
It’s the perfect virtual model for an online campaign! We can build the world exactly as we imagine and use it to accurately represent the world we share.
