Hello people of the internet! I am looking to playtest for a small group of about 4 people to playtest a DND gametype inspired by some war/strategy games and other fantasy elements.
Basically you and your team will start on one side of a large map with a small castle/keep that you will be tasked with defending. If the castle is destroyed you lose the game, however you can prevent this by building structures ( some of which are listed below ) to help defend as well as fight back against waves of enemies.
Worker production units ( produces more gold ) Swordsman training facility ( creates some fighters to help out using the sidekicks materials from Tasha's cauldron. ) Magic research lab ( produces a magician that can either assist in combat, or research new structures/spells and more ) Store ( can buy items from ) Defensive statues ( An immovable placement that defends an area ) Teleporting beacon ( fast movement around the map ) Defensive walls ( protection around your base ) ---- and many more! ( including hidden features/buildings )
You are able to build anywhere! although be warned buildings are not indestructible and can be destroyed if attacked...
The area between bases ( no mans land ) will have the occasional enemy you have the option to kill ranging from easy prey to dangerous encounters, each giving a boon to the team that slays them.
Teams will each have a pool of 3 lives, upon death of a character they will respawn back at their home castle after a set period of time. If a team is wiped out and has no remaining lives they lose the game.
I am going to work hard to make this a fun experience and I hope to share it with you as well!

P.S. this game will be run over voice using discord and played on roll 20, although if the group is wanting to use a different platform then I am willing to accommodate :)
