Why paid? I have most of the sourcebooks on roll20 and, with a pro subscription, can share them to players through the compendium. Roll20 has the module set up with tokens, handouts, cards. There is dynamic lighting enabled for most maps. I use voice, audio ambience and imagery to evoke the player's imagination of the story adventure we are weaving together. Paid games tend to have a lot less people joining and simply dropping out. The fellow player maturity of paid games tend to be magnitudes better than in free random games.
