The wind whispers your name, the cloying scent of your favorite meal caressing and carrying you forward. Ahead lies a small building surrounded by flowers. A small sign advertises a BnB. Curious, you open the door. Somehow this small building is full of rooms. The smell becomes hazy and the whisper is hard to hear. Which door calls you? Turning back you see the door you came from is gone you have no choice but to move forward. What is calling you, Which door holds the secrets you are looking for? Only you can find out.

I've been playing off and on since AD&D days in the early 80s. I love working together with a team to discover and solve problems. I love getting into character and especially writing fully fleshed out backstories and keeping my characters true to those identities. As for dislikes, I am all for making competitive builds, but extreme min/maxing and arguing over the last single point can get tedious; not a game breaker, but I have seen it fracture gaming groups when you have that one player who just has to argue and nitpick everything. I like all classes other than Bard and Wizard really. I tend to gravitate towards archers/gunslingers, fighter, rogues, and sorcerers. Flexible, lot of RP, very experienced with combat tactics in general from 20'ish years of table top miniature gaming. I prefer to play as a group rather than a bunch of individuals, unless character types/stories dictate. I'm very familiar with discord for playing. I run a couple discord servers for 50-150 people for different games, hobbies, etc.
50k' view of me and my gaming. I worked in IT for 20+ years before going back to school to be a mental health addiction recovery counselor. I've played D&D off an on since the AD&D days in the early 80s. The past 15 or so years I haven't played more than a couple campaigns, but I've DM'd several campaigns for my own kids who now love the game. I've also spent a lot of the gaming time for the past 20 years in table top miniature wargaming (Warhammer Fantasy, Warmachine, Iron Kingdoms steampunk, myriad historical era's, etc). I enjoy both the RP and the combat aspect, I love a good story. I try to not min/max and get bogged down in hyper details, but I still build competitive characters will full backstories. I like to loosely base my characters off of favorite fantasy characters from some favorite books (LotR, Belgariad, GoT, etc). They are not replicates by any stretch, just loosely inspired concepts. I'm very flexible when it comes to game systems, settings, flavor, etc. I've played in typical high fantasy, little magic fantasy (low fantasy?), steampunk, Iron Kingdoms, etc. I've never played full campaigns in a wild west or sci-fi settings, only one-offs. I'm flexible in race/class characters as I've played as well. While I prefer to play archers, fighters, rogues, sorcerers, I can play pretty much anything that party might need, except Bards and Wizards lol
