LF5P for a carefully written and hand-crafted campaign - READ ALL
Greetings fellow adventurers. After 10 months of writing a narrative, 10 months of writing stories and custom narratives for each individual. TEN months of pain-painstakingly vivid and detailed story with more twists and turns than a Labyrinth. I have finally completed my epic adventure of intrigue, war, adventure, likely death, Magic and much more treasure to fill your bags than ever before In this epic level 1-20 campaign, you'll start as villagers in a small town on the Sword Coast in Faerun. Where you go from there is entirely up to you. I do not railroad my players, but I do eventually work things out to where the narrative is being addressed without being forced to follow the story. All classes except Bard are allowed, all races except Changeling and Tabaxi are allowed. Upon reaching level 20, if the player continues to progress, there will be Prestige Levels up to 25 that add additional bonuses and skills.
Setting - Faerun - Sword Coast - Level 1 - All Alignments Open
Depending on the party makeup and races therein will determine which village the players start at. It can be anywhere along the sword coast. Once a player has chosen their race and class, a custom story narrative will be applied to each player along with history, origin and backstory.
I'll also be running it off of Roll20/Discord and on occasion for certain encounters I'll be using broadcasted Tabletop Simulator.
Story - Level 1-20 (25 prestige)
Starting at level 1, each and every player will have their own custom story/narrative written. Note, that all players and their stories will be created in such a way where they intersect with each other, underlining that no one can achieve their goals without the other's participation. Meaning, One for all, All for One, unless of course there's a rogue in the group, then all bets are off.
Why Pay?
In addition to being a passionate gamer and DM, I also have a life outside of this game and I'd like to be compensated for my time, effort, performance, understanding and immersion that all of you will experience in this campaign. This campaign is expected to last 73 sessions. It may go longer, depending on how each player affects the time frame. Each session lasts about 3-5 hours. I have over 18 years of Theatrical (acting) experience. I have done several voice-overs for various characters in video games. Mostly just one-liners and such, but I produce voices and individual compelling characters for every person that comes into contact with players. Given the level of immersion, complexity, intrigue, depth, expertise, wisdom and forethought, I don't believe its unreasonable to ask for a small stipend. I am currently on disability after having my leg crushed by a shipping container, and unfortunately workers comp isn't pay the food bill right now, so by paying me to DM for you, you're actually feeding me. I have no food budget at the moment. In addition, if 3 out of 5 of the players are interested in doing a TWITCH LIVE STREAM they will be compensated in equal shares to whatever earnings are produced from the stream. But more on that later.
The bottom line is that this is basically a low paying part-time job that is feeding me and I love DM'ing, and if you can get paid to do something you love doing, what else do you really need in life? Other than food.
TWITCH Stream Events
Depending on group interest, I will host an online TWITCH stream event. There however are requirements to this stipulation: You need a green-screen that completely covers your backround. You need a 1080p or higher webcam/digital video camera. You need a functional and clear microphone. You need an Ethernet connection unless you can prove wifi is stable enough for FPS req. You need 5mb upload minimum internet speed. You need a chair that has a very short or nonexistent back rest. You need a costume that applies to your PC's (Player's Character) Class choice. You must apply your characters own personality at all times during RP discussions. This includes, but is not limited to: Accents, personality traits, mannerisms. To the best of your abilities.
If the group generates enough interest. Earnings from each event will be shared equally among all actors/actresses involved. If a few trial run Twitch Streams are successful, we may move to a permanent Twitch stream situation.
What the DM needs from the Players
I need your respect, which includes but is not limited to: Being on Time Being Prepared Being respectful of eachother's turn Being respectful of my rulings. (if you disagree, we can talk about it. But not during the session) Being respectful of time, meaning that if you can't make it. Give me an ASAP heads up. Being a mindful player - just being courteous to eachother. No one is perfect. Except the DM :P
The DM is a Christian, that means that everyone regardless of your personal beliefs or opinions will respect the beliefs of all players, this also includes not using my God's name as an expletive, as many people instinctively and often do. You don't have to agree with anyone's beliefs, but I do ask that you respect them. In this game, earthly religious talks are banned during game time. Ive seen too many fights start over that subject and we're simply not going to talk about it unless its outside of game time.
Each player must write a basic family history of where they come from. How they came to be, their family's history. No starting player has any known nobility or royal lineage.
The DM needs a verbal and written/timestamped agreement to paying $15 up front before the start of each session via cashapp or zel. This is non-refundable and it symbolizes that you are committing yourself and your time to the full 3-5 hours. If you have to leave before the first hour mark. You will be refunded in full. But after an hour in on each session, your payment cannot be refunded. Your timestamped agreement and verbal agreement must be recorded and sent to me before the start of the campaign.
Exceptions: If you're a player who has access to ALL or MOST of the game/book sources. And you're first to tell me this and share it with the entire group, then you will waive ALL of your admission fees for the first Act of the Campaign which is approximately 13 sessions. Think of it as a Season 1 Pass. If there are multiple people with ALL or MOST of the game/book sources, then you can each take a turn on waiving your fees at the start of each Act. There are 6 Acts. If there is only one player with ALL or MOST of the game/book sources, then they can repeat this exception at the beginning of each Act. This is to make sure that all players have the maximum amount of access to sources. I as the DM don't have the funds to personally buy each of the books. So, if a player sees this and has access to ALL or MOST of the sources, then that would give the rest of the party the ability to take advantage of all the content.
LGBTQ Friendly Game
It may shock you to know that the DM being a Christian is actually in support of that community and is welcoming, accepting and even inviting anyone who wants in on that who happens to support or even fall into that spectrum. Come on in! That also means that if you have negative feelings about the people in that community, then you need agree to keep them to yourself. But that really goes for everyone in regards to whatever group of people they identify with. Its all mutually inclusive. This also applies to however they want to play their characters.
What the Players get from the DM
I'm 37 years old. I've been DM'ing for about 20 years. But I've also played as a player for nearly all of that time as well. I have learned over time what it takes to be a good DM and what red flags to note in bad DM's. You'll get answers to your questions in real time. You'll get a friendly, knowledgeable and above-all, fair DM that will treat each player and their time as if they are center stage and its their moment to shine. I will take each opportunity during Roleplaying sessions to make you feel as if you are there. Not only wil you get the best quality of NPC acting that I can offer, but you'll also get environmental sounds, like the creeking of a door opneing, or the sound of a rogue falling onto a crate of boxes. I'm all about making each player feel like they are getting their time to make their character alive and also trying to make it so each player can imagine that they are there right now, in each moment. I am a HEAVY ROLEPLAYER, meaning that about 65% of the overall gameplay is pure RP and improvisation. I have a general narrative I'm trying to follow, so while I wont fore the group or players to follow the main story line, I will find ways to nudge the group back on if they wander for too long. That being said, this game is a complete and a true sandbox and what you do with your character is entirely up to you.
When will the Campaign take place and where?
I am currently located near Yosemite in central CA. So I am Pacific Standard Time. I am available All day Monday, Tuesday anytime before 6pm. I am available Fridays at 4pm, Saturdays at 2pm, Sundays at 2pm. So whatever days fit the players. Please sign up by filling out the following basic information by copying and pasting the questions and filling it out as a response:

What does each applicant expect from me as DM:

If enough interest is generated, and I feel that I can work with the classes chosen, then I will do a second group of players on a different day playing the same campaign.
I look forward to all the Legends that we will create together.
