Teaser:The Weather has been foul in the Dessarin Valley despite it being in the middle of summer. The strange weather that has been circling through the breadbasket of the north has put many who live in the valley and many who depend on the food from this region on edge. Something ill has taken ahold of the land and you have been tasked to find out what it is and if possible put a stop to it.
Hail and well met! I am a dungeon master looking to run the module Princes of the Apocalypse. If you are a new or a veteran 5 edition player, you will have heard about this adventure as being one of the worst-designed module for 5e. It was created during the early years of 5 and certainly has flaws but I have been working for the last several months on improving the module to help polish it a great adventure like I know it has had the potential to be.
DM Style: A 50/50 mix of Roleplay and Combat. You will always have the ability to attempt what you want to do but no guarantee of success. Some sessions may lean into more combat and others more Roleplay and everyone needs to be okay with that. I do try to keep us moving but will not force you to do a quest or do anything that is not comfortable with the players. I am of the school of the “Rule of Cool” and “Yes And” but reserve the right to tell you no with reasons given unless it harms the flow of storytelling. This is rare but may happen. If you do not like a ruling that I make at the moment, please wait until after the game session to communicate with me. I can reverse a ruling and events but will do this sparingly. I will listen to everyone and do my best to give everyone a chance in the spotlight.

Adventure: Princes of the Apocalypse
Homebrew: There are going to be elements of homebrew in this adventure with my adaptation of some of the monsters and adding in Magical items. There are additional house rules that we may use but it will be discussed among everyone what will be used or not. I am not opposed to homebrew classes or races, but I need to approve them to make sure they are balanced.
Time: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm PST (may end earlier or go a little later but around 4 hours)
First Possible Game date: 12/12/21 – This may change based on my own schedule and player schedules.
Restrictions:
Feats: Lucky
Game Frequency: Weekly or Bi-Weekly based on player input.
Players Experience: all levels of experience are welcome.
Number of Players: 4-6
Player Commitment: looking for about 80% attendance rate. Must be fairly committed to attending games. I understand that this may take some time and life changes but must communicate with me if you will or will not be there. I am fairly forgiving and understand that life takes priority.
Outline: The game will take place from level 1 to as high as level 15. It may be lower, or it may be higher depending on player actions.
Session 0: There are going to be some session 0s to help each player get adjusted to my DM style and to help set up the story. There is a small twist that with session 0 I wish to do with some premade characters, but they will not be permanent. Each player will choose which premade they wish to play.
Character Creation: I own most of the sourcebooks, so players are free to create whatever character they desire to be and any subclass from official material. Everyone will begin at level 1. In addition, I am willing to work with players with developing a backstory if you are unfamiliar with the lore of the forgotten realms and help provide whatever information you need in helping create your backstory. Additionally, all players will need to choose which of the five factions they belong to. Emerald Enclave, Harpers, Zhentarim, Lord’s Alliance, and Order of the Gauntlet. Each faction, in general, has the following classes associated with them but you are not limited to this. If you want a Warlock who is a part of the Order of the Gauntlet, then go ahead and we will work out how that fits into the world.
Emerald Enclave: A coalition of many druidic circles that seek to balance the ever-growing cities with the sprawling wilds.
Classes: Druids, Rangers, Clerics (of some sort of nature like archetype), barbarians, sorcerers, Monks
Harpers: A well-known organization that keeps its members identities secret they work to stop any force that seek to threaten the realms.
Lord’s Alliance: The alliance of the cities of the Sword Coast that seek to defend each other and maintain peace in their lands against foreign forces.
Order of the Gauntlet: A new faction to the realms they are an organization of the faithful who seek to fight evil and bring order between the bastions of civilization.
Classes: Fighters, Monks, Paladins, Clerics
If you have reached the end of this lengthy post and are interested, please message me. I am taking on individuals or groups currently. I would like to be able to talk with people first and get a feel if we have good chemistry. If you leave a comment here I will try to respond as soon as possible. I suspect there may be a fair number of requests so please be patient with me as I try to sort through it all. If there are any further questions please leave them down below and I will answer them.
