About the Campaign
Play a member of the grand order of Purple Wardens, who have sworn to protect Etheria's peace and stability against monsters and political imbalances. Be both jury and executioner; choose your way of keeping the peace in the hollowed continent.
The year is 1337, and more than a thousand years have passed since the chromatic tyrants, children of Tiamat, were killed by the very first purple wardens, freeing the continent from the tyranny of the Queen of Dragons.
After all these years, the purple wardens expect the return of the fallen tyrants and their scions. And not only that, soon, every ruler in Etheria will join the Purple Wardens in their impenetrable fortress, Fort Vilmar, to discuss matters of international politics and the continent's future.
Etheria is now a powder keg ready to explode. Who will your character be in the midst of chaos? Will they take control, or will they be blown out by the winds of change? Will they climb the ranks of the Purple Wardens or carve their path?
About the Game
Have you ever wished to be part of a living world, see it change, and be a protagonist of its change? Fear not! Sandbox campaigns are my specialty.
"Heirs of the fallen" is both a setting and a campaign specifically tailored to the players and the characters. The homebrew continent of Etheria is evolving and alive, allowing different characters and players a completely different experience of the same world and the same campaign.
The campaign's style is more similar to a sandbox, initially giving the characters freedom to decide which of the many dilemmas and missions to make their own before the world comes crashing down. Therefore, the themes and details of the campaign will change, reacting to the character's and players' interests and desires.
As Purple Wardens, your characters will immediately impact the setting, and everything that happens will become the history of the continent and the setting, forging inspiring stories for the next group of players.
Some examples of adventures in the campaigns are
Hunting a magically altered troll that is terrorizing a village.
Solving a murder of a ruler
Intervene in a war to stop its bloodshed
Search information on a cult or guild before taking it down
Solve a diplomatic crisis before it degenerates into a war
The characters will start at level three and will all be, in one way or another, part of the Order of the Purple Wardens. The order is open to a vast plethora of characters, including monstrous, so it shouldn't be a problem. The same rule applies to the morality of characters. The characters will be created after a session 0 to be all on the same level and avoid triggers or excessively conflicting personalities (unless desired).
About Myself
I've been gamemastering games for the past eight years and the last two professionally. I've written and narratively directed a summer camp for endangered teens based on roleplaying games and LARP events, and I'm currently working as a Game Designer together with Skip Williams and Dragon Legion on a new RPG. My main focus as a game master is players' enjoyment and emotions throughout the plot. The way I see it, even if the game tells fiction, the emotions are real.
I have great experience in mediating conflicts between players and making sure boundaries are respected: I put great care and effort, together with everyone at the table, to make sure everyone has the time of their life and every character gets the character arc they deserve.
I have a preference for splatter, dark fantasy, and homebrew settings. I love a good balance of roleplay and combat, but my golden rule is to prefer what fits best in the narrative, whether it is an enormous dungeon, an epic battle, or intense roleplay. I often bring theatricality to the characters, mimicking what would be their faces and actions.
Furthermore, I will bring a vast selection of both handcrafted (both world maps and battle maps) and bought maps from my past years of DMing and create new ones if necessary. I bring carefully crafted playlists and a vast plethora of plugins and increase the overall quality of the experience. I also bring Heroforge premium, which can be used to create miniatures and pictures of characters.
