Experience: few years - roughly four years give or take
Location/Timezone: BST / GMT+1
Schedule: This game will be played on Tuseday 4:30pm to 7:30pm GMT+1
Roles sought: The game will have a 6 player group, 2 slots have already been taken
Game style: This is a largely homebrewed world that I've made, and plan on fleshing it out further during the length of play. Lunshira is a country currently facing political and financial turmoil having spent the last 30 years of manpower & resources for little gain or reward from a losing war. As unrest amongst the population grows to a boiling point, odd occurrences that went amiss during the war start to crop up within the land of the shining moon and a dark unseated evil descends from the shadows.
Lunshira itself is a vast landscape of large mountains and sprawling meadows although it can be broken down into various regions and cultures. In old elvish, Lunshira means 'land of the shining moon' and was founded after Priestess Targkell Forne slayed the evil dragon lord Dharngnarsjach that presided over Crescent Peaks and the lands below. From there Targkell attempted to establish a claim and right to the power vacuum she formed, however, her armies were small and could only claim a marginal section of the Crescent Peaks. Thus she made it a family goal to lay claim to all that once was in the Dharngnarsjach domain. Over the past millennium, Lunshira grew exponentially claiming more of the Forne birth rite. Although it is still not at the size of the Dharngnarsjach domain.
The main narrative will mostly focus on the player characters, their backstories, and the world at large. The setting will involve war, political intrigue, adventure, exploration, a good helping of death, and joyous times to be had. Although, while I do happen to be a little light-hearted, the setting may get dark and gritty at times as the plot progresses. Also, actions have consequences and the world will change based on decisions made.
Character Creation:
We'll be starting the campaign at level 3 - As a rule of thumb, all 5e core books are allowed. Any 3rd party homebrew or UA material must go through me first however I'm rather generous when it comes to bold character ideas so don't be afraid to submit something you'd find interesting and wish to play. Characters will be rolling for stats [4d6r1 drop lowest] including a free first-level feat and a common magic to add to that character's story. The length of the campaign depends on how far the group is willing to continue with the story of their characters and the world itself.
About me (DM):
The name's Cally, I've played D&D 5e for 4 years now and have tried & tested both the shoes of a player and DM throughout that time. I enjoy collaborative writing and storytelling, and mainly wish to create an enjoyable experience for all involved. I love working with players and incorporating character backstories and progression to fit the narrative. Respectfully, I understand that certain players may feel uncomfortable about having roleplay or other various aspects of D&D; thus I will be requesting a safe and friendly D&D environment for any who join.
We will be using discord to chat, so you must have a good microphone to participate.
Reminder, this game is pay-to-play at £5 per session, with sessions 1 & 0 being free. The main reason for this is to acquire assets on roll20, ensure player engagement, and provide desirable and maintainable quality. I'm not too fussed about when you need to pay so long as you end up paying for the time spent.
