You are approached by a gnome in a suit and bowler cap, his red, mutton chop beard quaffed and monocle polished. He looks at you and asks if you are indeed the person he suspects and when you agree he excitedly pulls off the bowler exposing a far progressed balding head. "I was hoping you would say so. You see I have been looking for someone with your set of skills for quite some time. You aren't the first I asked but I do hope you will be among the first to agree. Have you noticed your foods taste dissipating? You have haven't you? We of this great land of Delraster certainly don't go hungry, our magiproduce industry churns forth cabbages, carrots, potatoes as big as your leg by the carriage full. Our arcanoranches grow livestock from babe to adult in a weeks time. The price of grain and meat is so cheap that you can get a larder fully stocked for the winter on a silver. Its been that way for 50 years now... but the taste of food is fading. This brings me to my point, my name is Giles Butterscone and I work for a small market out in the Frontier. We have been researching how to make the food taste again tirelessly and we think we have an answer. Do it all by scratch, no magic, no outside influence beyond natural elements to make food. There is a small fertile region near my home town of Debbie's Mill that has been locked off to the people of Delraster and Delco due to a Dragon that I have evidence to suggest has recently passed with no offspring to lay claim to the region. It has become a dormant region and Delco has no idea. So? Will you help me and the people of Debbie's Mill by rolling up your sleeves, tilling soil, raising livestock and giving back taste to the food we all eat and love?"
(Looking for 1 player on Friday nights @ 8pm PDT starting October 21st for a chill game that will be more about roleplay, and exploration than anything else. Establish bonds, do business and be a fantasy farmer in this dnd meets Stardew Valley mashup game that will be short term. Players will be starting as commoners, a homebrew class I will cover in session 0, and I dont anticipate leveling higher than level 5. Session 0 will be on October 21st and I will be going over how to start as a commoner in dnd along with setting details and you all can talk about your character ideas. Our first official session will be November 4th so no need to rush into character creation. This is a great game for new players or people that just want to hang out and goof off in a fantasy world.)
If you are interested please respond with some personal details and what comes to mind for a character idea for this setting. I will only be taking one player. Thanks!
Hello! I think I am interested, I would love to hear more about what this campaign entails! I was looking for a shorter campaign and I am a dnd and stardew valley fan so I'm interested to see how this would go. I'm a newer player with some prior experience the past few years but not a ton. I would be available friday nights including the 21st/tomorrow night. I'm not sure what I have in mind for a character just yet but I have a few prior ones I could either rework or come up with one that fits into the world. Thanks for the opportunity either way!
Sorry totally forgot to include this, If interested my contact information is jupitols #3003 on discord! If you'd like we could discuss plans more there.
