Captured by the drow! You wouldn’t wish this fate upon anyone, yet here you are—locked in a dark cave, the cold, heavy weight of metal tight around your throat and wrists. You are not alone. Other prisoners are trapped in here with you, in an underground outpost far from the light of the sun.
Your captors include a cruel drow priestess who calls herself Mistress Ilvara of House Mizzrym. Over the past several days, you’ve met her several times, robed in silken garments and flanked by two male drow, one of whom has a mass of scars along one side of his face and neck.
Mistress Ilvara likes to impress her will with scourge in hand and remind you that your life now belongs to her. “Accept your fate, learn to obey, and you may survive.” Her words echo in your memory, even as you plot your escape.
----- After a longer hiatus from DMing, it's that time of starting up new games again. A bit about me: I've been running games on and off for about 6 years now - D&D 5e and 4e, as well as a whole lot of Vampire the Masquerade, and 13th Age. I enjoy character driven stories and seeing narratives grow from the dynamics between players most of all, and thus have incorporated a few ideas from other systems into my home games, that my players so far have always really enjoyed. One being a slightly modified version of 13th Age's Icon Relationships, and the other the loose inclusion of VtM's character relationships map, to keep some form of record of inter-party connections, as well as complications/affiliations with NPCs known to everyone in the party. This campaign specifically will be my spin on the Out of the Abyss adventure module.
I'll be trying a slightly different approach to the whole paid game, I know not everyone can afford to pay to play D&D, and that's fair. I won't insist on a paid option, but would very much appreciate a per session donation - at around the same price of your daily take away coffee. It's not bank-breaking, and it'll still help me put a bit of money towards paying tuition fees.
For more information/applications drop me a message, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
