Hello, my name is Charly and I am here looking for players to join already-established groups as we play Dungeons of Drakkenheimonline on a weekly basis. (Information for the different games will be posted in different replies).
Setting:
Drakkenheim, the once tall, powerful, and proud capital city of the Westemar country, now lies in ruin, due to the fall of a mysterious meteor that brought not only physical destruction but also an Eldritch Power that slowly consumed and corrupted the city until its inevitable demise. Now the city is a mere shadow of its former self, plagued by grotesque and deadly monsters, covered by a deadly atmosphere that the locals call The Haze, Torn by a constant conflict between factions over a material brought by the meteor known as Delirium, and left Aimless by the lack of leadership and clear hair to the throne, the land of Drakkenheim promises danger, horror, and mysterious secrets to be discovered for those who are dumb enough or brave enough to enter into its deadly vowels. Will you be one of those brave souls that will venture into the vowels of this broken city? if so, welcome to Drakkenheim.
Dungeons of Drakkenheim is an adventure based on the D&D live stream by the dungeon dudes of the same name. It takes players to explore the destroyed city of Drakkenheim, in a gothic/cosmic horror adventure, that has elements of survival horror and even political intrigue. Some content WARNINGS for the adventure include heavy violence in the form of body horror monsters and even cannibalism, Mental Stress in the form of insanity and psychological torture, and other gothic horror stables like plagues in the form of spiders, rats, vermin in general, and the other elements mentioned previously. (NOTE: there is a possibility that if you are not ok with any or some of these things mentioned here, we might around to avoid them in the game, however, due take into consideration that these themes are fundamental to Drakkenheims’s identity, and removing them completely might make the adventure feel less unique based on what the writers of the adventure initially intended, but that doesn’t mean we can’t reach a compromise.)
DM Presentation:
My name is Charly, I'm 27 years old and I have played 5e for about 6 years, %90 of that time as a DM. I have run games from one-shots, module adventures, several homebrew campaigns from my own creation, and everything in between. My first D&D game ever was as a DM and since then it became my favorite thing, I really enjoy the feeling of giving a group of people an enjoyable TTRPG experience, and I like to be creative with the tools that are provided to create something personal and being able to share it with others, and overall just making sure that everyone is having fun while playing at my table.
Style:
Roleplay level: HIGH.
I enjoy Roleplaying a lot, and I have the most enjoyment when I am able to engage others in it, by giving them an outlet to let loose and interact with as many NPCs or things as they desire. That being said, it does put me on the heavy side of descriptions, mostly because I like the idea of painting a picture to the players that can hopefully be used to create an immersive experience.
Combat level: MEDIUM.
I like to create challenging encounters and combat situations for my players, (I don’t look for TPKs because that is easy to do), I also like to put combat encounters fairly scattered around the adventure and in situations where it makes sense or it is expected (not going to bombard you with daily random encounters during your travels). And I also like to add a little detail on the maps if needed to make the terrain and combat scenarios more interesting and more interactive.
Heavy number crunching and min-maxing are not a necessity to make it through my encounters (you can do it if that is what makes combat fun for you. The only thing that I ask for in return is that you just take into consideration the other players that are participating with you).
Puzzles level: LOW.
I have to say not my strongest aspect as a DM, but I will do my best to implement some if the group is really into puzzles.
What I offer:
3-hour sessions (with a 15-minute break in the middle): I think this is a decent chunk of time to have where we can mess around, explore, do some combat, and have a sense of progression in the game.
Consistent Games: Inconsistency tends to be one of the main reasons why campaigns are not finished and or why groups fall apart. So I do my best to be present and ready for every session to make sure that I have a consistent game.
Future plans (optional and only if players are ok with it): Another thing that I can offer is that, if players want to keep on playing with the same characters, we can turn the adventure into a longer campaign, and it can be from an official adventure, an adventure from a homebrew setting, an off-book adventure in my own personal setting, etc. Again, only if players want to keep playing.
Customization: Whether it is maps made by me, sets of homebrew creatures out of my own design, rule changes to make some mechanics more interesting, homebrew systems and magic items, Changing aspects of the world and story to fit the parties' motivations, and possibly backstories. I like to put a decent amount of effort when it comes to my games, in order to create a unique experience.
A friendly environment: I try to keep some rules when it comes to behavior (more on that later), to make sure that I have a space where everyone can relax and disconnect for a few hours, and to mostly avoid problem players that only want to bring the mood of Roleplay down or have fun at the expenses of the other players.
Contact me and learn more about me.
If you want to learn more about me and what I offer I suggest you visit the Roll 20 Links for the specific game you want to join to learn more. You can also check my GM profile over on startplaying.games, where you can also check the reviews I have received over time, link to that is right here: https://startplaying.games/gm/thatcharlyguy25 And finally, the easiest and most recommended way of contacting me directly if you are interested in joining any of my games is to add me on discord here: (ThatCharlyDM#2097) is the most efficient one, since it allows me to see applications and notifications much faster than in other platforms. Anyway, that will be all for now, thank you for taking the time to read this thread, and hopefully I'll get to play with you in the future. Have a nice day.

With night in sight, the party decided to return to Emberwood Village to rest away from the Haze, but not before agreeing to escort some pilgrims from Hendrix Farm to Champions Gate, and then check upon the Dwarfs on the following day.
