The continent of Elecorander was at one point a unified kingdom but three hundred years earlier was thrown into civil war over a dispute over the succession. In the present, the kingdom has divided into three kingdoms. In the west, lies the Kingdom of Rander ruled by the cold and calculating King Michael of House Vidonio. In the east, lies the Kingdom of Eleco ruled by Queen Theresa of House Tylanon, harried by her own problems of succession and keeping a tense kingdom stable. Between these two rival kingdoms lies the Tisnan Mountains. During the Civil War, the mountains became a safe haven for those wishing to avoid the fighting. The dwarf nomads who inhabited the mountains welcomed all in the name of peace and at the conclusion of the war, developed their own sovereign land, known as the Tisnan Republic. Relations between the Tisnans and the Elecan Kingdom are close, but dealing with the Randerians is often difficult for the republic. While the urban centers of the continent are well developed, there are untamed wilds in between just longing for adventurers to come and explore them.
This homebrew world features homebrew deities, continents, countries, and more!
About Me:
I’m Austin and I’m a 32 yr old teacher in Florida. I’ve been playing D&D for about four years and DMing for about 3 years. This is my first homebrew world and I’m very excited to get to run a game in it. While this is a homebrew world, I very much like working with players to help make their characters and their stories have a stake in the world so many things about this homebrew world are open to editing and changing to help characters fit better.
Game Details: This game will be on Friday evenings and run every other week. Start time around 5-7pm Eastern (US) time and games lasting between 3 and 4 hours.

Character(s) you have in mind:
. I want to make a storyline around the characters, so I like to interview potential players to see if they would be a good fit and to get the best fit for a group. • We will be using voice on discord, I’ll also be using video and encourage anyone else who wants to do also as I think it helps RP. • You can expect a pretty even mix of RP and combat. We will use Roll20 for maps and do some theater of the mind for smaller unexpected skirmishes. • We will use dndbeyond for character creation as well as rolling for stats once you’ve been selected.
I'm Sixteen, which if I were to guess is already a deal breaker & that's fair.
I have very little experience with 5e. I'm not really making a good case for myself.
I don't mind combat at all but I'll usually enjoy the roleplay part more. Still, both are good.
The character I have in mind is a sorcerer & scam artist. He uses his magics to trick people out of money & treasures. He's snarky & egotistical, but in a way that makes it very easy to annoy him, so he can be taken down a peg. He's usually out for himself. (Although I, myself, would keep in mind not to be a jerk, don't worry. I'm good at balancing that.)

The start time is a bit early for me on certain fridays, but if the game is good it's worth it so here we go!
Name: Handle is usually Fury or FurySK, personal name is Josh, character name TBD

Experience with 5e: have DM'd under extremely loose 5e rules and regulations. I do not have full knowledge of them, and the group i run on wednesdays doesn't have pinpoint information either, so i'd call it "guideline" knowledge at best.
Characters you have in mind: For better or for worse, i have like 80-90 npc's at my disposal that i can slide into for a campaign, so in this sense you get the good which is a player that can kinda slide into multiple different variations of backstories pending the campaign style and additionally the type of character i play. I much prefer an unconventional support type, one that uses spell slots not for artillery or healing, but for displacement of friend or foe in ways that create interesting opportunities. I prefer to interrogate for information rather than swing first ask later. So you would most likely see me playing a more conventional class setup, one that fights from a distance i think
What i look for in a campaign:
I prefer RP in terms of solving scenarios rather than intersquad dynamics or relationships with NPC's. I find it much more rewarding to do creative things in combat that aren't conventional and are occasionally on the whims of the DM's interpretations of mechanics or game rules. Thats not to say i would abuse such a position, but i would be much more interested in not just "cast magic missile, cast magic missile, cast magic missile, elevate to the next spell level and do it again" style of play (note, this is a caster perspective, it doesn't mean thats my intent to play it).
I care little for magical weapons and armor, and love having access to trinkets and limited use items. I'll be looking at scrolls and other one-off items to invest in over a fancy new staff, a mastiff over a shiny new bow or sword, etc. I like breaking out of the mundane power creep and min/max.
I find it most enjoyable to play with a group that will put up with my 90's pop culture references and hopefully understand them, and i like friendly banter where we can poke fun at one another and ourselves and take said jokes in stride. I enjoy tables where we can take occasional breaks from serious quests or story and be a bit more relaxed and/or have some non-combat shenanigans. I want to roll checks that don't have huge gameplay implications as often as i have to roll in serious situations, and would love a group that kinda goes along with that.
can always DM me with any questions, i think your biggest struggle with me is mostly that i'm terrible at using actual proper format for character creation, as a DM i'm used to winging things and using prebuilts and tweaking them :D
Experience with 5e: I grew up watching my uncle DM, loved their shenanigans. Watch and read plenty of other tables streams but I myself have yet to find a group to join myself. I have a decent grasp of rules mechanics etc, just no first hand experience yet.
What you look for in a campaign: Good story telling, so long as we’re having fun and progressing our collective story in a way we all enjoy than all is well.
Character(s) you have in mind: I prefer more of a support role, but I’ve got ideas for more martial characters if need be depending on what the group would need to round out
