ABOUT THE BOARD COUNCIL
We´re 4 passionate tabletop gamers with over 10 years of experience looking to create and share engaging and immersive experiences with a likeminded community. Whether, it's TTRPGs like D&D or Pathfinder, Board Games like Gloomhaven or Aeon Trespass: Odyssey and even Miniature Wargaming like Warhammer 40K...It's incredible how simple mechanics can guide our imagination and unfold into our own epic stories.
In the last 2 years, we have become obessed with TTRPGs as game masters. After all, this genre frees us the most of them all. Mechanics become adaptablevehicles for an immersive and narrative experience.
The GMs' gameplay style will vary. We can be both and/or narrative, rules-focused, high roleplaying, improv-based, railroad, character or world biased, freeform,... But we do we all agree on the following:
- Rules are guidelines. wereward creativity the most and love people thinking outside the box to solve the challenges we throw at them. But in the end, the Dice Gods have final say whether that genius pays off or not. - “Rule of cool” is designed for narrative emphasis. - Inclusive role-play opportunities: we love all playstyles, so long as the cooperative nature of the game is a common denominator. we need to keep the narrative fun and engaging. We usually allow PvP moments for roleplay purposes but we'll let you know if it goes too far. - Challenging and engaging combat: no need to solve every situation with a hack-and-slash approach. - Quality storytelling: we aim to translate our recent familiarity with hundreds of page campaign materials into a vivid experience for you to enjoy. - Actions have consequences: some consequences are good, some are bad, but for the sake of building immersion, we never “pull punches." we believe that some of my players' most memorable experiences at my tables are caused by the Dice Gods!
WHY A PAID GAME
- We own Curse of Strahd and Van Richten'rs Guide to Ravenloft, and are starting to get steeped in the lore! Want an immersive experience? They typically don't quit impulsively when something doesn't go their way. - Players do not make any additional purchases at all to participate. Everything is included. - We have all Roll20 resources needed to run this mini-adventure together with anything you need to create your character on DnD Beyond.
