Howdy! My name is Bean, and I’m going to be starting a new Homebrew campaign. It’s set in a world I’ve already developed a good portion of with a different campaign and I’m pleased to say that my other group has been really enjoying the world building. Games will be bi-weekly on Sunday (16th, 30th, etc) at 4pm PST.

That being said, without further ado, here is the synopsis:
The player party will be all Druids who are new apprentices of the order of the Undisturbed, an order who believes you have to be a part of nature to properly influence it without adding unnecessary chaos. As a final rite of entry, you are given a small totem that completely removes the time limit on wildshape. But there’s a catch, being in your humanoid form now has a timer, the longer you are in your humanoid form, you start to get sick.
This campaign will be grittier, more realistic, etc. You will be dealing with the forces of nature, predators, temperatures, starvation, etc. You are no longer a Druid, you are now a part of nature. Which means if you’re a caribou, you’re just as much subjected to the hunt of wolves than any other caribou.
Your missions will allow you to integrate into the wild as an animal, but can you survive as one?

The game is influenced by my love of nature documentaries, and I want to explore that kind of drama. You guys will be level 1 at the start, and your characters all grew up in the same camp. Your characters will be between the ages of 18-21.
I am a DM that leans into Roleplay, so if you’re concerned with optimizing your character, this game might not be for you (which is okay!). I encourage story telling and I am very hands on with character creation with my players and I love integrating lore from your characters in the campaign as little breadcrumbs to find. Which eventually leads to the storytelling bakery of course.
The campaign will be hosted over Discord on a Discord server. The group of players will be 4, and I’m looking for the prospective 4th player! Sadly, I don’t accept homebrew races, but all the rule book races have homebrewed lore in my world I have set.
The game will be fun on DNDBeyond, utilizing the map function with maps I have custom-made using Inkarnate.
Here are the sub-classes of the other characters: Moon, Dreams, Stars.
I will say, pick whatever subclass you’d like, but be aware you will have very minimal access to spells until much later in the game. Because the game focuses heavily on wildshape, let’s come up with fun ideas together!
I am only looking for players who are more experienced because this is a style I’ve never done, so I’d love some constructive feedback as we go along.
My table is also a safe space for LGBTQ+, and it will be an 18+ but there will be no talk of sex.
That’s all for now, I look forward to getting messages from you lovely nerds. Just make sure to include some information about you, maybe why the game interests you, your Discord handle, and any other information you see fit.
Interesting idea. I like the strong focus on the Druid class, which isn't something I have seen a lot of over the years. I do all the game mastering with my friends, which has been the case for decades now. I don't know what more you are looking for in an online player; this is my first attempt that wasn't a face-to-face game. So, you adopt a single wild-shape, or are you able to change it as you go? I wouldn't have a problem sitting down every other Sunday. Thanks!
