Liches Get Stitches
Something sinister stirs within Chult, a jungle-covered land filled with vast riches, dangerous terrain, terrifying creatures, and what can only be described as EVIL. Regarded as one of the best 5e adventures, Tomb of Annihilation has it all: high stakes, exotic locales, memorable characters, deadly encounters, and most of all, fun!
Thinking two heads are better than one, we are co-DMing this adventure, which takes characters from levels 1-11. Playing off each other’s strengths, we hope to deliver an experience that rewards your time investment with new friends, plenty of memories, and FUN!

A 5e Take on Classic D&D Adventures
The Foreword for Tomb of Annihilation (ToA for short) bills the adventure as “a story about death and the lengths individuals go to avoid it.” We expect it to play as 40% roleplay, 40% exploration, and 20% combat. The adventure has a mechanic that puts PCs on a clock, and PC death is a very real possibility. If you are looking for a casual, lighthearted game, there are better options out there. We deliberately chose to run a campaign that pushes everyone to be their best, because that’s when we believe we have the most fun!
As indicated above, players of all levels of experience are welcome. We were first-time players once, and we could certainly benefit from the wisdom of long-time players. That said, we expect players with 6 months to 3 years of RPG experience will get the most out of this campaign. Direct experience with D&D 5e rules isn’t required, because we are all starting a bit fresh (see below). Our game is 100% LGBTQIA+ friendly - undead don’t discriminate when choosing victims, so why should we? ;)
Based on others’ experiences, ToA takes about a year at the intended pace. This campaign may go a bit longer, for several reasons:
We are using this campaign to familiarize ourselves with the new 2024 rules. Learning by doing is fun!
We are adding some of our own Sparkle(TM) to ToA, because D&D is meant to be fun for DMs, too!
Depending on how many players are interested, we thought it may be even more fun to add an extra twist…
A Twist, You Say?
Since there are two of us, we decided that we push ourselves to do a little extra. If there are enough players, we would look to run two concurrent campaigns, with each group of PCs alternating Saturdays. The parties would have opportunities to collaborate, increasing the odds of survival, but they would also be competing with each other to be the first group to complete the adventure. To the victor go the spoils!
But Who Are You?
The two of us have been playing in a few campaigns together, and we thought it would be even more fun if we ran one together. This is Meggers’ first run as a DM, while Wizard’s last experience as DM was back when the game was called AD&D. We are fortunate enough to have learned from really good DMs, we both prep like crazy, and our styles complement each other. We will run our game according to the following:
Values
Fun
Fairness
Respect
Candor
Transparency
Mission Statement
Create a safe space for players and DMs to grow and challenge themselves in a long-term campaign, with an emphasis on having fun
Motto
We take the game seriously, but not ourselves!
Tell Me More!
If all this sounds like more fun that you can shake a rain-catcher at, please click on the link below (or copy into a new page if the hyperlink doesn't work properly). There, we will share a survey for you to complete, so we can get to know you better. Be truthful. The only wrong answer is an inaccurate one. It is our goal to make this game fun for each player, and we will refer back to these surveys to do that. If you indicate that you love combat, but really you love roleplay, you’ll only have yourself to blame when you’re rolling Persuasion against the band of zombies shambling towards you. (Spoiler alert: it won't end well.)
Once we collect the surveys, we will invite prospective players for a chat with over Discord, to ensure that we would be a good fit. Our target is to hold one or two Session 0s in mid-late September, with Session 1 launching in early October.
On-call
Do you like what you’re reading, but you’re not sure you can commit to a full campaign? Take the survey anyway! We can consider you as an on-call player. You’ll have opportunities to play when main PCs are absent, and we can give you NPCs to run when you just need to scratch that Lich Itch!

Sounds like Fun I'd be down for this, and I'm in PT so that's definitely helpful.
