**Summary** This is a play-by-post mega-dungeon adventure where great evils are locked away within many chambers. When not exploring this “Vault of Everything Evil,” the party will deal with faction intrigue in Eberron’s magical fantasy mega-city known as Sharn. The decisions and intrigue will revolve around the evil things being discovered and unleashed from the Vault.
You play as adopted and estranged members of a family of neutral and evil PCs, all seeking sources of power and influence to ensure the survival of your family. You will advance from Level 5 to 15, wield terrible power, and decide the fate of countless people—as well as, perhaps, the fate of the world itself.
**The Vault of Everything Evil** This mega-dungeon is where a previous faction sealed away many of the world’s most dangerous evil artifacts, curses, diseases, creatures, and more. Each “room” holds something terrible. Your family has a key to one of the outermost doors, but other locks, barriers, and obstacles stand in the way between you and each individual “bane.” And they all want to get out. The environments in the dungeon will be highly varied to keep the settings interesting and appropriate to the evils within.
**Factions and Intrigue** Your adventuring party is not the only one to discover this vault of banes hidden in this dungeon of interconnected demiplanes across the city of Sharn, so you will need to make tough choices about whom to trust or oppose.
**Player Options** Characters must be made AFTER talking with the whole party about class and species preferences. Do not come to the table with a character made already. Players must use the sub-species options from“Eberron: Rising from the Last War,” which are sometimes just lore guides, not mechanical changes. Anything updated in the 2024 Player’s Handbook must be used instead of the 2014 version. Spells that are not in the 2024 PHB are not allowed. You may choose any official class or subclass.
**Encounter Balance**
This campaign will emphasize combat, but PCs will also need to interact with various NPCs and navigate environmental and magical obstacles.
**Premise** “Evil is relative.” You are members of a noble family, all estranged but brought back together after the death of your notorious father, a titan of industry with his fingers in everything from news media to manufacturing. Your inheritance is an estate, a fortune, and a mysterious key to the “Vault of Everything Evil.”
For as long as you can remember, your father was hellbent on maintaining enough power and influence to balance your family’s role against the kingdoms, dragonmarked noble houses, religious institutions, and other factions of Eberron. He spoke of an ill fate that would befall the world someday after his death. He raised you to be ruthless when required, cunning when making allies and enemies, and always pragmatic. It’s up to you how much of those lessons you still live by.
Your father wanted to save you at any cost from the certain doom of the world. As you explore the Vault, you will learn the tragic extent of his failings.
**Alignments and Loyalties**
Loyalty to the family is a requirement in your character design. Your PC may be evil, but this campaign does not permit PCs to plot against each other.
**Backstory** Your PC must have history and unfinished business with two factions of Eberron. Perhaps you spent time with those factions, for good or ill, while estranged from your father. A list of faction options will be provided as we make characters.
**Schedule and Posting Requirements** This game is play-by-post on Discord using the Avrae dice bot. I will mainly post from 3:30 to 9:00 p.m. Central Time. Players must post once a day when the narrative allows it (such as when we’re not in combat and therefore waiting for people to post in a specific order). Typically, posts should include some action and dialogue so that others have something to react to.
**Content Tools** This game is PG-13 for the most part. There will be no gore, torture, sexual content, or romantic content. Possession and mind control (including spells like Suggestion) will not be a part of the campaign. Any player may declare anything else off limits at any time without debate. I would appreciate a list of your “Lines and Veils” (please Google it if you’re not familiar), if you have any, before the game begins.

I'm still listed as new to D&D this sounds like it should be fun though. Do y'all use tupperbot too?
