This is a mini-campaign - WATERDEEP: DRAGON HEIST RELOADED - set to run for 3-4 sessions, with future mini-campaigns to run from the same sourcebook.
I’m an experienced player, but it’s my friend’s first time, so I’m really hoping we can get enough players to get this mini campaign off the ground. Unfortunately my buddy doesn't have a super flexible schedule so we're stuck with Friday nights (we're both in the Chicago area, as is the DM). FYI I'm a Fighter/Battle Master and my friend the noob is a Rogue/Swashbuckler.
We need at least one more player in our party, but there's room for up to four more.
Below is the link. This DM is awesome by the way, I play in one of his full campaigns as well at the moment. Great storyteller and very welcoming to new players, very good at balancing combat and roleplay, and excellent at incorporating PC backstories into the big picture. He's been a DM for 30 years, and on StartPlaying for 4 years, where's he's hosted over 1400 games. It's a little pricey but it's honestly the best experience I've had playing DnD either in-person or online.
From the DM's profile on StartPlaying: "I love both roleplay and combat and tailor the ratio to the needs of the table. I've run a combat and exploration focused Tomb of Annihilation campaign as well as a roleplay heavy and whimsical Wild Beyond the Witchlight. I can be funny, silly, serious, or weird, and I'm not afraid to improvise and follow the needs of players, even if that means going off the rails or side-questing on a whim. I've been running games on Startplaying for over 3 years and running home campaigns over 30 years. I have a ton of experience and I often bring my own stories, art, and maps to the table."
Level 3. Played with D&DBeyond, Discord, Roll20.
